So come to camp, and see what is new with the corps, we start at 10 AM on both days. Questions please check the website: www.shenandoahsound.org See you Saturday.

  5. After a very succesful open house in December, Shenandoah Sound is ready for 2009 and will continue to build momemtum for a very competitive season. If you missed it, do not worry positions are still available. The 2009 show will take audiences on a journey that is truly out of this world. From the pen of American film composer Nora Kroll-Rosenbaum...............but more on that later. Our next rehersal/open house will again be at our home base Manassas Park High School from 10:00 to 6:00 on January 10,2009. Come and join us and see the big things that are happening. Directions and more informaiton is available at our website www.shenandoahsound.org Look forward to seeing you there with Virginia's only Drum Corps.
  6. WHAT?? Hmmmm sounds interesting.................................. Well to everyone who is coming Registration starts at 1:00 and see what all the buzz is about. Remember the South shall rise again and nobody listens to Pickett anyway............
  7. Although there is no DCI corps in Virginia there is a DCA Corps, Shenandoah Sound out of Manassas Park Virginia. As luck would have it we have an open house coming up on December 6th. Please see the tread http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/inde...=119677&hl= Many wonderful things are in store for the next year and beyond so come check us out and march. DCA gives you the opportunity to march in a Corps without the weeks of travel and scary as it may seem ( not knowing your age ) playing with some older folks ( sorry more seasoned ) who have been around for a while and may have played with one of those corps you like. That and it will get you in the mindset if you want to try out for a DCI Corps in a year or 2, as we have several youth members going that route. Hope to see you on the 6th.
  8. I have a qustion that the membership should be able to answer. Which Drum Drum Corps was started as or has started a Scout Unit? Either a Boy Scout, Explorer Unit or Venturing Crew? Obviously the Madison Scouts come to mind but who else? Also do those units act as Scout units today and participate in functions? Thanks
