  1. Yards and yards of vinyl tarps. Covers absolutely everything! (Well, except football helmets that is.)
  2. They did not use the tarp at the Rose Bowl. In my opinion it hinders their visual presentation.
  3. True, but it is odd that the final scores match what was announced and the recap and ordinals look correct with the exception of the "extra point" added to the total of the Performance caption.
  4. So the other day the 1998 DCI Finals award ceremony came up on my YouTube feed. Colts were announced in 12 place with a score of 85.3 and Crown was announced in 11th with a 85.7. Those are the same final scores reflected in the recaps in From The Pressbox as well. In the three Performance captions, Crown received a total of 25.6. Individual scores were 8.3, 8.0, and 8.3- which actually total up to 24.6. Did Crown actually end up in 12th with a 84.7 or is the From the Pressbox recap wrong somehow?
  5. I think Troopers vs Colts will come down to spreads in GE, Brass, and drums for Troop vs the spread in visual captions for Colts.
  6. Super long floor/table runners- multiple colors. Only used a few times late season. Contact Madison Scouts, SCV, or Crown.
  7. I wish they would just keep Gold's center circle tarp on the field for all performances today. Nice covering of the Colt's helmut.
  8. For all the attention that BD gives to every aspect of their show, I can't believe they are sticking with those things!
  9. In 2011, Bluecoats, Boston, and Blue Knights were 7, 8, & 9.
  10. If BD wins, over 40% of the DCI championship trophies will be housed in Concord, Ca. If Boston places 4th or better, it will be their best DCI finals placement ever. If they beat SCV at finals, it will be the first time ever. If Mandarins place 9th or higher, it will be their best finish. If Blue Stars places 7th or higher, it will be their best finish since 1977. If both Colts and Troopers make it to Saturday night, it will be the first time ever they have competed against each other in finals. If SCV gets 5th or higher, they will tie their longest string of top 5 finishes at 9 years (tied with '81 thru '89 & '96 thru '04). If both Xmen and BK make it to Saturday night, it will be the 1st ever that the exact same 12 corps made it to 3 consecutive finals. What other history might be made this Saturday night?
  11. I believe the last time this happened was back in 2004 when Glassmen and BK replaced Spirit and Magic in finals.
  12. Not only do they "have "scores in mind" but I believe they each have a tote sheet which includes the actual scores they gave each corps from the previous night.
  13. I think part of the off timing is that, due to Covid holes, they have to keep switching prop movement responsibilities from one kid to another.
