  1. followed the DM? I wonder if DCI could ever head to TX for finals rather than the heat tour - Cowboys stadium (which I'm sure is crazy expensive) is WONDERFUL. LOS is ehh
  2. I really feel like the judges got everything correct in the end - a terrific percussion performance by Bluecoats was recognized - Boston's outstanding guard - and Devils being the best corps in 2022 Thanks to all the marching members for your efforts & energy, and a shoutout to all who supported those efforts I felt DCI's "50th anniversary" efforts were just so-so. Hopefully they'll work with LOS to improve service & staffing next year!
  3. For a fan base whose favorite corps just won ANOTHER championship - they sure are a whiney bunch 🤣 Grow some thicker skin (would be my advice) - calling a formulaic show "a formulaic show" is nothing but calling a spade a spade. The complaining about the Blue Devils is literally NOTHING compared to the whining about the Cadets in the 80s, or Star in the early 90s.
  4. I'm predicting a stronger year for 2023, with much more vet laden corps - which should help Also hoping we see BOTH Spirit of Atlanta & Seattle Cascades return strongly - and that all the corps have a good winter of recruiting and preparation.
  5. Agreed - it didn't seem to hit the next level Bloo brought - I expect Bloo quite close to BD maybe a half point - BD is always on. Percussion, especially front, felt a little too loose over Flo. Best Boston corps ever - Red may still be my favorite show all-time from them but this one is very good - really matured and grew all summer long, passing Crown then leaving them in the dust.
  6. yes, meant as hyperbole - I also work. But work ethic and interest in actual scheduled positions is historically low, I run 60 restaurants, trust me - I know. I'm sure LOS is feeling the pain as well, as Jeff said, this is one thing we really cannot blame DCI on, and I love blaming things on them whenever possible
  7. new Cadets.org doing the same! Still think they need to get out of Allentown, ZERO money there, plus burnt bridges
  8. Perhaps others should develop a revenue stream - just a thought.
  9. I mean yes to brass and jazz done well, but I'm not sure I get the front ensemble comments. In the 80s Cadets then Star seemed way out front of the activity, now IMO it's Bluecoats - and programming the percussion ensemble as a whole was I felt Hannum leading the way, then Cavaliers. BD has always been very strong, but...
