  1. me too - hoping someone NOT primarily from the indoor world
  2. people were guessing - which is what happens before things are announced lol
  3. Maybe - but he's been at this at least for FIFTY years, at Cadets, Star & Crown (etc) > maybe he's ready for his next phase, I've been "at F&B restaurants biz" for about 40 years at a high level, and I'm thinking of my next chapter a lot recently
  4. they've been refining it for a millennium and this particular one has been under planning since 1965 - it's taken very seriously.
  5. oh, that's just something, Hannum???? He's just isn't the flavor du jour - he's a brilliant and EXTREMELY skilled musical arranger
  6. first 2023 leak > Pacific Crest 2023 presents "Into the Chevron: Stabbings, Poisoning, Enslavement & Other Fond Memories..."
  7. I mean... as long as they take a knee at the end of it, and stick their leg out, what does it matter??? 😍
  8. thank you for your wonderful and thoughtful contribution
  9. lol drum corps people are literally NEVER happy - personally I loved the more nuanced approach of those 2000s shows - I do not require 24/7 "in your face" blast approach
  10. yup I'm thinking they had something big lined up for the visual side in order to lock down Saucedo - etc. A major major addition/return for Cavaliers.
  11. Most good decisions are not based on race or sex of the applicant.
  12. well, they're allowed Tuesday - so this topic is not really a great idea to start right after finals.
  13. Out of the top 5 only 3 impressed me with performance and a fresh/tight design (Boston & Bluecoats) - I was also surprised how poor some of the top 12 brass lines were at finals - basic tuning issue in a couple of the top 5 at FINALS (I can't recall that since 2000) and a couple others who were just very dirty finals week but made the top 12. A little shocking to me. SCV I think gets more of a pass as the visual side was much better than in the case of Cavaliers. JMO but 2022 was a rather weak year for the top 6
  14. ehh - I'm not even sure about that anymore The more I reflect on 22 the worse I think it was
  15. it's not always about that - there are talented folks at all levels Team dynamic can be a difficult thing - my perspective/hunch is that there is a bit of a rift between visual and music folks at Crown, all that can explain the lack of growth in the production this year from ST until finals - it was miniscule compared to all the others in the top 8 (? maybe more) - I mean, it got cleaner... but. Given the folks there, my hunch is the music team stays with changes on visual side. JMO
  16. everyone GOT IT. It was obnoxious, rude, and I chose to respond with humor. ok?
