  1. Given that however, through four corps this seems to be a lot more enjoyable show. Less humidity is giving a sharper sound and the Corps seem a lot more on than the Denton show.
  2. Based on the history of this show its getting the short end of the Texas stick. The lineup is good it's just for two shows in a week in what is technically the same metropolitan area you have the second show with a six corps lineup with three corps that were at the Denton show the other night.
  3. For years this was such a premium show. The first show in Texas with a usual stellar lineup and a responsive crowd. For the past couple of years it has gotten a rotten placement- the Tuesday after San Antonio and an okay lineup but no one in the top three. On the other hand the Denton show had a top tier lineup on what used to be the Lake Highlands day. Last two years such a miserable turnout compared to the history of this show. Can someone who is smarter to me explain why this show has been gutted over the last couple of years. Also DCI calls Denton DCI North Dallas. What a joke. Would you call the Meadowlands show DCI North Philadelphia?
  4. Looking for something decent (single ticket) for the 18th Denton Tx show. Thanks.
  5. Best Drum Corps show I've ever seen (out of going 30 years) Every show in the top 12 worked for me (not a hot dog corps to be found tonight). 4 of top 5 were all-time championship caliber. Okay - I've handed you all the ammunition and the gun. So fire. (hated retreat though-popular music and Drum Corps just not a match)
  6. Just to add my own .02 on the whole "were they booing the Devils or the score" question. There is no question they were booing the score. Strong applause had already started during the beginning of the announcement of their victory (and people were rising to applaud - respectfully - but not in the leap to your feet in excitement type of way). Only when the score was announced did the boos start.
  7. Because so far - I have been completely happy with everything else with my Indy experience so far. I think the facility is tremendous with lots of room for milling about. I'm especially a fan of the Club areas which allow you to take a break but still see the shows on one of a million plasma screens in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere. I've been inside the new Cowboy stadium which is being hyped as the greatest in the world but I think I like Lucas Oil better. Parking was reasonable $10 and less than 100 feet to the front door. Concessions were expensive but in line with most other Pro League stadiums I've been to. Although a little out of the way - I like the Fan Marketplace set up. I love Downtown Indianapolis - it's full of activity and good nightlife. However - despite all of the positives, the accoustics are a deal breaker. They are just awful. Horrible. Worse than San Antonio. This doesn't mean I won't ever come to Finals while they are here - I'm just going to spread it around a little. Allentown one year - DATR the next, then every three years or so maybe I'll come back. I just don't see myself paying the ticket price for this sound every year. Tis a shame though because before the first note was played, I was completely sold on the stadium and Indy for the duration. I wonder why none of our grief has been turned to the Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Bureau since they seem to have sold DCI a set of goods that has not been delivered (open roof, open side panels (remember that?) accostics for Drum Corps taken into account when stadium was built). I'm not saying DCI is faultless but ICVB pursued them. They should have to also answer for what could end up being a pr nightmare. However, despite all that - GOOD JOB MARCHERS - goosebumps and tears all evening - even through all the reverberations.
  8. Sent you a message. Interested. Thanks.
  9. Another idea is for you to look around at other midwest airports/destinations that may be within driving distance of Indy. I made my plans late and couldn't find fares under $350 from Dallas to Indy. I checked St. Louis and was able to get a $138 RT ticket on American. I'm renting a car and driving the rest. I would have rented a car anyway so the only additional cost is the gas and the time (4 hours) between the two. You might also look into Chicago as it is driveable as well.
  10. Looking for higher end Semi Final Friday Night Ticket. Thanks.
  11. I am interested in one finals and one semi finals. You can contact me info to shawnma@landmarktheatres.com. Thanks.
