  1. I agree 100%. I have loved their uniforms since the first time I saw them.
  2. My favorite would have to be SCV, BAC, or Cavaliers... I liked the 2006-2007 BD uniform better and Crown's 08 uniform better (than this year). Outside of the top 12, I really like the Cascades uniform as well as Crossmen.
  3. I have marched 4 years high school, and plan on marching this summer with the Boston Crusaders (in the hornline). Interestingly enough, I also plan on being a history major (next year is my freshman year of college).
  4. I don't know anything about percussion, so that makes sense. Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought they won percussion and visual (with brass going to Star)? I was talking about visually in general though. And gavorkna is for me the best opener of all time.
  5. 1.1984 Cadets 2.1987 Cadets 3.1989 SCV 4.1986 BD ... the rest IMO I sorta wish 27th won in 1980
  6. I am surprised at how little love the Cavaliers first championship is getting. All I know is that show was really really clean and full of emotion. My next 4 after that (in no order) are Star 91, Cadets 93, Cavies 95, and BD 99. Just my opinion, but I think BD 94 and Phantom 96 are overrated. Also, I would put SCV 99 but I just can't get past that soprano solo...
  7. After seeing SCV do Appalachian Spring this year (I know they are already doing bartok), but maybe in a few years they could do Copland's Outdoor Overture. It's a great piece. Also I would love to see a corps tackle On the Waterfront again. I really liked when SCV did it in their 1997 show Fog City Sketches
  8. I think Teal is based in Jacksonville, not Tampa. And that is still a good 10+ hour drive from virginia!
  9. Cavies 08 - Matrix Mellophone Cavies 06 - best salute in DM history SCV 2000 - adagio for strings BAC 2000 - the two lines marching towards each other that collapse into a box Cavies 01 - drill at the end of Four Corners BD 09 - the guard Don't know if anyone remembers but... Cavies 05 - the part when the guys play both a trumpet and a flugel at the SAME time while the guard catches a toss while doing a split (all male guard) oh my goodness!
  10. Spartacus will probably win this one, but I think Frameworks deserves it. Almost as clean as Cadets 05, but with much more GE.
  11. Yeah, but its not my fault BD was untouchable this year and the Cadets (NOT THE SHOW) were so great in 07.
  12. In all honesty, the only show there that I think should have won was 2007 Cadets. Yeah it was tacky (interestingly enough they tied BD in GE lol) but the performance levels of that corps were unreal and severely underscored. Every other show deserved 2nd place and werent deserving of the championship(s) (with the possible exception of 01 BD/Cadets, it was a toss up that year). I think Crown 09 will win this one though... but the question is which corps shouldve won, and Crown most definitely should not have won this year.
  13. This is the first(and probably only) easy one: SCV 04. Honorable mention goes to Cavaliers 08 and BD 06
  14. I can't believe Vanguard is going to lose this one... oh well they are all great shows
