My only complaint with Bostons guard this year is the costuming disappears in the field from up high. Wish they were more visible.

This show does absolutely nothing for me as a design but boy they sound good.

Best arranged show of the year for me hands down and it’s not even close. Absolutely seamless. Energy is INSANE!!!

Mandarins muted trumpet/trombone moment with the corps weaving through the spinning props into that last hit before Smile is one of the best constructed musical/visual moments I’ve seen in a hot minute. SO GOOD.

Well we might be breaking the 7th place score record tonight. I think 8th and 11th are also at risk and will see about 4th later.

Turned out way better than I thought it would. Percussion steals the show for sure.

Played some of Cliff Walkers percussion ensemble stuff with my high school and junior high kiddos. This front book by him is nutty lol he’s incredibly creative.

Battery and front are just nutty.

Colts should stay in 9th IMO. So so so solid.

I’m so glad to see this show in 9th. Textbook of a well rounded corps.

Just gonna watch and enjoy these shows for one last time tonight. I have some competitive wish lists for sure but seeing the 2023 finalist field one last time with my full attention is the top priority. I think everyone should try to find what they like in each show and just enjoy what each corps is offering. We can argue about show issues, weaknesses, and placements the rest of the off season. So many strong identities and approaches. I will be honest though that Bluecoats, Mandarins, and Phantom Regiment have a little extra love from me tonight. I’m gonna add Colts to that list as well. Love what they’re doing.

Last ensemble is bittersweet. Hope they have fun tonight 💙

Admittedly this hasn’t been my favorite BD show but can’t deny the excellence. Especially visually. I think that’s been their secret weapon every year. The way they move is chefs kiss. And it’s absolutely influencing how we are going to teach a part of the show where I work. Congrats, I’ll take three competitive seasons of the blue duo at the top 🤪

LETS GO BLUECOATS! Moved into 2nd 💙 Probably BDs tomorrow, but been exciting here at the end. I'll take being 2nd three years in a row for Bluecoats. They're about the most consistent outside BD right now. Don't think it's any surprise the two corps with the most consistent teams do consistently well. Tomorrow should be fun. If I could have any drama at this point it would be Mandarins leapfrogging to 5th and Boston Crusaders taking back 3rd.

Thought they were pretty magical tonight. Don’t care where they fall at this point, fully in the Garden of Love 💙

What a run this year, easily another addition to my favorite shows outside the top 12 with 2019 from them. I hope they maintain and build off of what made this year work, because what a turnaround in one season. Bravo. Beautiful show this year!!!
