  1. I have an off topic question for anyone who can help me out. I'm watching the live stream and would like to know if you're watching full screen, how do you get back to small screen again? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. After watching the Warrensburg show on Fan Network, I also thought he was lip syncing but was informed by someone "in the know" that what we are seeing is a slight delay with the wireless mic. It's live!!
  3. We were at the Cinecast last night and I can say something positive about every show we saw. We liked them all. However, since I hold the Cadets near and dear to my heart, I have one criticism. Please, please, please change what the narrator is wearing. He's a good looking, extremely tall young man with a magnificent voice and that particular costume or whatever it is you want to call it simply doesn't fit him or the show. He should be wearing something that would "suit" the role of a historian or a teacher of sorts....something more dignified than an ill-fitting, modified Cadets uniform. Of course, this is just MHO. Thanks.
  4. West Chester University is nowhere near the city of Chester.
  5. You just turned what is a hysterically funny thread into something entirely different. I think you need to lighten up just a lil bit, ok? :)
  6. I can't wait to hear it live either. And Liahona, you have a love for the P47 Thunderbolt? Love...It!
  7. I am not a music major. I am not an elitist. I am not a snob. I am the parent of a current MM of another corps and I don't feel I am being disloyal when I say that both my husband and I were completely mesmerized by BDs show. They literally kept us on the edge of our seats with our jaws hanging open and we haven't even seen it live yet. When I hear people saying over and over and over, "I don't get it", I have to laugh. What's not to get? Every single moment of their show has Dada written all over it. They have adhered to their theme throughout. Yes, Cabaret Voltaire ventures outside the box but isn't that what we want. Don't we want different and exciting and breathtaking even though it doesn't quite fit the criteria to which we are accustomed? I am a loyal fan of the corps that my son marches, but I also give credit where credit is due. In my opinion, the Blue Devils have hit the mark this year. I was entertained, excited and amazed by what they put on the field.
  8. If you will recall, the guard uniforms from the 2010 show "Toy Souldier" were exactly like the corps proper and when they took the jackets off they had a hot pink shirt underneath. Unfortunately, when the shirts got wet (which they did with every performance) the pink bled onto the cream pants. It wasn't a good situation for the guard or the show in general. It looked sloppy. Thus, the new uniforms. It is my understanding that last year's original guard uniforms did not match up with what the designer wanted. It's drum corps and stuff happens.
  9. Where's a review for the Cadets? I keep refreshing the page and nuthin'.
  10. Whoa! I'm not young by any stretch and have only been a drum corps fan for about 5 years so I know very little about the shows of the 70's, 80's or even the 90's outside of what I've listened to via Fan Network. That being said, I find it insulting to every kid who is out there in the scorching heat, practicing 12 hours a day trying to perfect a show for ALL of our enjoyment, when you say there is little to nothing worthy of standing up and cheering about. I stand up and cheer because good show/bad show, those kids all worked their butts off and they deserve our respect and support. Personally, I will give every corps I see this year a standing O. They all deserve it!
  11. We'll be heading to the Regal IMAX theater in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Our son is a Cadets age-out this year and we're super excited to see the Cadets as well as all of the other corps. I'm thinking it's going to be another incredible year for drum corps fans.
