  1. I have to turn on my phone for this, what a crowd response for the stars! Proud to be an alum filled with alum and local support! Go Stars! FCO!
  2. Losing power, will post a full review later, 23% on the old iphone
  3. Jersey surf. Showed us a magnificent variety of color with many different colored plumes and almost on cue, a vibrant rainbow appeared in the sky, incredible and it's followed by colts with a "dark side of the rainbow" theme, what a brilliant display, God's promise to man, (yup I'm a Christian :) )
  4. Music city on tonight sporting a good sized hornlike, a markedly increased volume level, great visual choreography but a slight bit of phasing within the music ensemble, good to see them strong
  5. Legends on the field folks, a steady light rain here at Veterans memorial field in Lacrosse
  6. I recall the 2010 Minneapolis show, I was in the tunnel with the Stars and saw Phantom make their way onto the field and then come right back off through the tunnel after not playing a note and I'll admit I was thoroughly confused.
  7. On my way to see my cadets and blue stars! First (and unfortunately last) live show this year! May all corps do as well as they can today!
  8. Always controversial, people moving corps that is. I'm never in any place to tear down any corps because I was never the best marcher or player in either corps I marched in and because I just believe that it's not a great thing to do. What I could do was take what the staff said and apply it, that's what I could do; and come finals I got where I needed to be. I'll never forget my roots at the Stars which made me a better marcher and player and pushed me past well beyond what I thought I was capable of (the corps director was especially encouraging and he very much helped me fight to the end, I am forever thankful for what he did for me). I'll also never forget the family of guys and gals that embraced me at the Cadets as that one awkward kid from the Midwest in a field of folks from the south and the east. That being said, I think there's no problem with being loyal and there's no problem with making a switch. No one should hate you for either choice because that's just not good of a drum corps brother or sister to do, it's all just a game of competition really. At the end if the day we're all working hard to make music and do crazy things on a football field together (or in a high school gym if you are a WGI guy).
  9. Ahh Houdini, I reminisce about those days... FCO guys, can't wait to see you at LaCrosse. I'd be performing with the Alumni Corps if I could've made rehearsals but it's so hard with my job :/.
  10. The fight between the "East Side" top 3 is always going to be interesting this season as well as the matchup between Stars/Boston, and PR/Cavies
  11. Super stoked for lacrosse this weekend, if love to see some corps meet up and just observe a great show live in person for once this year.
  12. Would it be appropriate to say "Ground control to Lawrence audience, Ground control to Lawrence audience, we need an update!"?
