1. I believe this year was the start of something special for this corps. Success isn't always figured in point totals and placements. The crowd loved the show and the Crossmen identity is no longer in crisis! Retention = A push to the Top 12 next season.
2. If XMEN can retain this year's members, they will contend for a Saturday night spot. It'll be year two with the new staff. You can't turn everything around at once, BUT most people agree that their show and performance quality were all in a different league compared to the last few years. They were slotted this year, and everyone knows that too. Plus I think we can also agree that everyone in slots 12-17 really upped their game. Congrats to all corps on a great year. Here's to 2012!!!
3.

Have you seen the music book? I do not agree with your assessment that the show is not demanding musically. The show has more melody than many of the shows which are receiving "credit". It is a musical show with tons of exposure to error. It is the type of show that is not likely to be rewarded until it is perfecty clean.
4.

They tie with Colts and then two days later get whipped by 2+ points to the same team?? No Corp in DCI is THAT inconsistent.
5. Imagine that! The crowd loves them (XMEN) and no recognition in the scores. Isn't that what GE is?!? I don't get it either...
6. Re: Crossmen I can tell you that this staff is one of the more experienced out there. I'm not sure for the reason in scoring plateau, but I can almost guarantee that it is not because the staff doesn't know how to take it to the next level. It is a young corps on it's way back to respectability. Growing pains, most likely.
