It's not that I don't support the activity... it's just hard for me to garner the support around the winner each year. I think we've lost our values in what we celebrate unfortunately. My priorities are strongly with the corps, I think I'm more interested in the back lot this year... and maybe that's where my focus should be to continue supporting. 🤔 I am in no way saying excellence shouldn't win, it does every year! I'm just having a tough time with my enjoyment of what is winning I guess? Open for discussion here as always...

I think we have all seen that BK has been I'm trouble all season long. Such a head scratch for me... As for the top we need new blood and if old blood wins its time for a sabbatical for me. I just can't see it ... it's the same as it ever was... I'm done with it winning while being so cocky and unappealing to me. Not in any case to downplay the work being done there at all. They are a fantastic corps. I just wish they'd give us something new to win with is all. Clearly they know they don't have to do that.

Anyone know if Calgary Stampede was able to compete in Open tonight? They would have been 6th just a touch above Southwind? We only have two corps this year and I'm gunning for both, when my parents marched Toronto, Ontario, Canada was the only city to this day to have two corps in DCI top 12. We're starting again and the results of Stentors and CSB will help us celebrate with the newer corps. Wish Calgary competed in open!

Cadets is really the story this year, other than Boston but East is the moment isn't it? After the uniform that looked like a balsamic drizzle I had almost given up on how everyone packed up and went to Boston. Cadets felt this for two years and now they sound so Cadets and I am so happy. So happy to see them back. Miss them and all the big corps in Montréal or Buffalo, us Canadians have had to travel this year that for sure... But enjoying the experience of Cadets becoming Cadets again. Beautiful programing and a perfect fifth. If the Candide it!

I remember doing this in the Canadian circuits up until the 2000's. It was a way to honour those who took in your performance and your fellow competitors. It's where -

Oh and WGI 2001-2008. So 16 years... wow. And in Canada... where we hardly have an activity anymore 😞 😞 😓 -

I really think this group knows what they are trying to do for this season. Phantom top 3 is not in thier aim.. They are trying to do a new course of phase in thier trajectory... let them get it right as they always do and see how this pans out over the course of a planned program. Much like Boston, this is a program that takes time. I'm so happy to see regiment back at it... can't wait to see what their finals position this year brings them next year 🙌 Nothing good happens over night... give this corps time. They always make it with a few years under their belt.
