Was chatting with someone who asked me to upgrade my flash... had to disconnect to do so. Now the chat button is gone and they replaced it with a messages essentially saying things aren't working.
So is DCI saying the statements made by the announcer right before they announced the caption results must have been incorrect. They clearly stated that caption awards were averages between the three nights. In the event of a tie in the caption average result, the tie breaker would be the corps with the highest score in that caption on finals night.
Can someone confirm exactly what the policy and scoring criteria was on finals night? I have reread these threads many times and seem to still come away not knowing this fundamental answer. I may just simply be crazy and not see what is right in front of my eyes.
Based on the criteria they announced right before the caption announcement, Crown should have won this caption outright. Average was a tie. Crown had the highest score at finals... done deal. Right?
From what I heard, Crown has the actual trophy...
I swear that happened to SCV in Atlanta the other night, too. BD did some cheer from the tunnel during the end of SCV's show that I could hear in the nose bleed seats.
It was one of the moments I remember the most from my limited career... playing the standstill after the show and having the BD horn line stand in front of us. If I remember correctly, their brass staff made them stand in front and listen.
