  1. The DCP ranking page is all messed up - has open corps in there twic
  2. To be honest, I thought that aside from BDB and VC, the open scores were just a tad high from Michigan City.
  3. Some corps take it more seriously than others. Plus, the kids almost never have time to prepare something the way they'd like. I know one year my son and a high brass friend played a duet at an outside venue. A gust of wind came and blew their music sheets hither and yon. They didn't have the music memorized at ALL so it went badly. But it gave them something to laugh about on the bus afterwards. LOL.
  4. That would be no small feat for PC. I have raved about this show all season. I think it is finally getting the love it deserves!
  5. People keep talking about MC, but I have to say this PC offering is by FAR my favorite non-finalist show. I absolutely love it and it keeps getting better. It always charms me. Fun choreography. Glitz. Nice sets. Great sound!
  6. That 'Feed the Birds' ballad that year... still gets stuck in my head!
  7. Yeah they came through today! I looked at the open scores and Gold and Spartans have flattened out a bit today so I think OC is easily in there. Tomorrow I hope there is better camera work on the big wheel. So glad they added that.
  8. Yes they've had make up all season... must be why no shakos. Probably a good call but I loved those blood red plumes!
  9. OC entering the field. Definitely sans shakos. Maybe to see the faces better?
  10. Just found out I won't be going to BLL after all. Long story . And sad because for the first time, it is at my neighborhood theater!
  11. Oregon Crusaders in tunnel cam... where are their shakos? They had awesome shakos.
  12. Hello! The name of the show is 'Big Loud & Live'... goodness. Fire that manager!
  13. Bridgeport Regal Cinemas, Lake Oswego, Oregon. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. For anyone interested in Oregon Crusaders' Redrum show, DON'T miss their closer tomorrow. I might know something that I can't disclose.
  15. JW Koester, Ike Jackson, it really does take a village! Getting more specific, I like the brass arranging a LOT. I remember starting to really notice the freshness of it last year. The entire staff from administration, design, cap heads down to techs is clearly firing on all cylinders.
  16. H ...has done a FINE job... along with the rest of the staff. Just amazing stuff happening with this corps. I love it.
  17. Totally agree. The emotional punch offered by the voices mixed artfully with the rest of the ensemble is huge. I also have noticed that over the season, the vocalists have REALLY fine tuned their roles in the show, both musically AND visually. I love seeing them do some drill!
  18. The biggest buzz-worthy story for me personally is how the Mandarins have skyrocketed in the past two years. To break out like that takes effort and resources on so many levels it makes my head spin but they've found a way! I am SO very happy for the organization and additionally, I find it very inspiring. It's nice to see a new and different name in the mix! I'd also like to say that I was a Mandies fan even before they started playing in the big kid sandbox.
