Top 4 all within a point tonight, right? Or at least close to it?

It seems to look like the top 13 is set with Mandarins and Scout going for the 12th spot. However, I could be wrong. Crown 2003 was in 16th this time of the year but managed to get all the way up to 9th by semis.

I was just looking at the schedule and wondering what Crown was doing until Friday. So obviously, some rehearsal days and maybe laundry. They doing any clinics or anything out of the norm?

Maybe you should post a poll. FYI, this year marks the 10 year anniversary of amps being approved. I bet if you dig back 10 years in the archives you will find an amp poll. It would be interesting to see how the polling has changed.

I believe the judging system is so subjective that judges are scared of it. I see what we call "recap readers" all the time. What's a recap reader? A recap reader judges off the previous score +/- a tenth. Doesn't sound so bad until a judge dumps you a whole point and you get a string of recap readers the next few days. I know it goes on, I have litterally been out with a judge and they had to go home early to look at that night's recap.....and it was August.

It's fun to break it down by caption and see who would be a perfect panel for a corps. Then, just hope that that panel showed up for finals.......thank you DCP, you have officially made drum corps just a bit more geekier by adding such information.

Yeah...thought it would bump to the top after each vote was casted. Also, I didn't want to look redundant with a 22 page BD vs Crown thread already up and going. I am quite surprised to see JJ put Crown over BD tonight. He had them in 7th last week. Just one step closer to the complete package needed to win. They are going to have to have one helluva visual panel to win....or just get cleaner.

Almost every show from the top 12 in 2003. -BD showed us how to be cool and how to incorporate the warm up in the show. -Cavies tried to put the hardest show possible out there (and others have been doing it every since) -Phantom.....nuff said -Madison got their identity back -Crown turned it around (probably wouldn't be where they are at now if it wasn't for this show seeing that they got 16th the year before) -Spirit waved that Zingali flag.

3rd in percussion is good considering they were 7th the night before.

When does the recaps come out? I am really interested in the percussion caption after Pipitone dumped the whole top 4 last night.

Percussion scores will be quite interesting in the Top 8 tonight. Last night was pretty crazy in that caption and with Marty Griffin judging it tonight I could see a complete different story. Because of a panel including Griffin and Carlisle, we may see someone new on top.
