  1. Since you responded directly, I will respond in kind and leave it at that. 1. Ask a drum corps organization or typical fan if traditions are important, you really think they'll say no? Something in quotes doesn't cleans it from being an insult. #4: I don't see what is negative about preferring corps members wear hats, etc. during performances. Have a nice day.
  2. hmmm, a few points (that are my opinion and do not necessarily represent the views of every member of the forum: I did say "just my two cents" which implies it is my opinion Of course I only like what I like - Are there many that like what they don't like? Yes, hats/no hats is definitely subjective, others may/do feel otherwise 99% of the posts on this site are opinion (no, this isn't documented), and it would have very few posts it it were strictly objective Drum corps traditions/history plays a big part of its popularity today and its future Many of us that have supported the activity for many years agree with the performance and business evolution An argument is weakened when you have to resort to insults
  3. Other than the guard and pit, hats need to be part of the uniform/costume. The experiment has been tried and failed. Hats give a sense of sophistication, style and intrigue. Without them the horns and field percussion look unfinished and ordinary. It actually just looks like a glorified dress rehearsal. Just my two cents.
  4. I need as many as many as 10. Looking for Section 140, near the top of the section and as close to the 50 as possible, but will consider other sections/tickets if they provide good sound/visual. Ideally the tickets would be together, but realize I will need to have them split up. Thanks
  5. For years I attended prelims by myself so getting a last minute ticket was easy and relatively inexpensive. Next year several members of my family have asked about going to Indy for prelims. I’ll be looking for 10-12 good seats. Ideally they would be together. I don’t need tix to the entire weekend, so I’m looking to this community to provide some ideas and suggestions. Thanks in advance.
  6. With the popularity of Blue's Beatle's show, I wondered which other group or performer had a catalog with enough depth, challenging music and emotion to justify a complete drum corps show. Admittedly I'm not the biggest fan of her music, but a show from the music of Barbara Streisand came to mind. With a musical career of more than 60 years, she has a wealth of music from which to choose. What would your best "Babs" show repertoire be?
  7. Hey parnold - I DM'd you about your tickets. Thanks
  8. I’ll take 2 if they are still available
  9. Looking for 2 good seats to prelims. Ideally in sections 239 - 241. Please txt me at 816-985-8552. Thank you
