I have no merit to say if this was better show design than any of this year's finalists, but even I can tell it's better show design than the previous year's 12 place show (Crossmen- Alma Gitana, A Gypsy Soul). Lets hope we never have to see another show so dull make the Saturday night lineup.
I don't think kids are any more eager to want to be on Crown today than they were 6/7 years ago. But if you think about it, that's actually a good thing.
I'm waiting for the day someone decides to to this as their ballad, but maybe it's a little too "bando"...not that there's anything wrong with that (Seinfeld reference)

Blue Devils 2008 (Favorite Blue Devils show of all time)
Carolina Crown 2007 (such a joy to listen to)
Bluecoats 2013 (instant classic)
Cadets 1983 (Rocky Point Holiday for the win!!)
Phatnom Regiment 2010 (Like Crown 07, has that larger than life feel to it)
SCV 1999 (eye candy)
I'm only putting 6. Because the 7th corps at every Tour of Champions show is a different one. So, isn't it really just G-6?
I've always wanted to see Sigur Ros's music on the field. I know of one group in the marching band community that's going to use Ara Batur this year. And Cadets a few years back did Hoppipolla as a pit etude. But perhaps that's as far as their music will ever be used.

I can see this being unpopular, but honestly, I would bring a folded corps back under the contingency that the Mark Chambers be corps director, and Aaron Guidry write the music. I just don't think we saw all what they (mostly Guidry) has to offer to the activity.
If there's one thing I've noticed over the years of watching Youtube videos of DCI shows from the westcoast, is that people love to talk a lot during performances. Sometimes not even about the shows themselves. So yeah, pass.
