Hello, I am interested in starting an indoor percussion ensemble at my school this year. The director of bands at my school said that if I did most of the work in the organization of the group and there was enough interest, we would probably be able to do it. As I am new to the activity, I have a few questions that my director wants to know. What are the competitive circuits (preferably around Illinois)? How much does it cost to enter these competitive circuits? What are the rules on music/drill (length, style, etc.)? Are we allowed to use music from a band (copyright information)? For people who have ran similar groups, how much did it cost you? Thanks in advance!
