my placements: 9 - blue knights - best show of the day but were you phoning it in? please give me some more energy in the evening show. will be pretty close to blue stars who i felt out performed blue knights. 10 blue stars - very cool show. controlled horns up until the very loud parts. but enough contrast and dynamics to make up for it. nice guard and drums 11 - glassmen - a clear step above the corps below. the show design is neat and its well performed i just don't enjoy it very much. 12 - crossmen - maybe not a better show than scouts, but a lot of emotion gave them a very slight edge. my favorite ballad of the day. 13 - Madison scouts - will score closer to crossmen than colts 14 - colts - tone quality is lost at high volume. almost the entire show is done at high volume! easy drill. 15 - spirit - i was distracted from the backfield injury but there was plenty of dirt and ensemble issues. 16 -troopers - plenty of energy, they look they are having fun performing this show. 17 - pacific crest - the design is there to place higher, but its not being executed. please clean! 18- mandarins 19- academy 20 - pioneer

i have crossmen ahead of colts. i don't see that show sniffing finals.

colts...tone quality isnt on par with previous 3 corps at loud volume. unfortunately the opener has two volumes - loud and louder. drill reads well from high cam and they are making it look easy.

my first time ever watching blue stars. wow horns in the opener!! great impact points. clean runs. your warm up should replace your ballad. it's goosebump city . exciting drum break. not enough movement in the closer for me. but you've got white pants and not too much dirt. comfortably better than glassmen in GE.

clever show design. a little too "cute" for me. drill execution on another level than previous groups. a lock for the evening show.

well i was too distracted to comment on spirit but i do agree with the rest of the comments

they wouldn't want to move anyone with a possible back/neck injury

i think someone is getting medical treatment on the back sidelines while spirt is playing their opener

xmen...best ballad so far...best closer...most emotion...cleanest drill....

the transition from high cam to multi cam isnt seamless, there is a 3-5 second delay. kind of interrupts the flow of a show unless you switch in between movements. so i stick with high cam the whole way.

scouts with great control through the high brass in the latin section...but overall the ensemble felt a bit tentative the rest of the show. might have been the dome. they had me going with the opening statement and never took me anywhere. i don't think there is enough visual demand in the show. they were performing what they were given well.

solid show from troopers. cool visuals. drill got cleaner towards the end. horns got louder.

horns keep falling and i cant tell if its intentional or not?

i was very impressed with pc's visual package. i felt the horns were on an off day and were not finalist caliber. troopers are about to step off.
