  1. Thank you Kevin for bringing back this performance. Bush was amazing that year, and after back to back wins in 1992 and 1993. the Nightmare show sometimes gets short changed. It shouldn't. Great seeing this performance again. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
  2. Congratulations Fran! The voice of DCA always. A well deserved honor for you and Maryland, but you were a New Jersey guy first! And, congratulations to the rest of the honorees.
  3. Here's update for everyone. As of yesterday, 11/17/2019, the outgoing board of directors appointed a new board of directors from the transitional team made up of Bush Alumni. All of the equipment, uniforms, costumes and trailers the corps ended the 2019 season with on Labor Day is still with the corps. Outstanding loans have been paid (no where near the amount mentioned in this thread) and the corps is in the best shape financially it has ever been in after a change of board members/administration. The corps was into the merger for six weeks before things got nasty on the internet and Imperial Dynasty decided to revoke the merger. That was shame because the merger was the best move forward for the Bushwackers as previously noted in this thread. At that time, with no administration (previously Imperial Dynasty staff) the corps was the responsibility of the board of directors. We met with transitional team members from our alumni and after four weeks a second meeting was held where the new board was appointed (as suggested by the transitional team) and the old board resigned. At no point was the corps being held hostage. After the merger was revoked there was no new board or administration to hand the corps over to. It was the responsibility of the outgoing board to make sure we handed over the Bushwackers to a responsible board of directors and alumni. This is what we did yesterday. We are confident the new board and administration will move the corps in the right direction. The outgoing board wishes the Bushwackers all the best the rest of this year, in 2020 and beyond. Go Bush!
  4. Having Jeff back in the Bushwacker organization is just fantastic. It has been fun seeing him at the open house after all these years. The Bushwackers are fortunate to have him as our director and so are our members, staffs and alumni. Welcome back Jeff and Go Bush!
  5. Ray was a wonderful person and true drum corps guy. His influence and membership in the early years of the Bushwackers, along with Ed Hayes, Sr. and Lou Marshello, helped our hornline and corps. I loved running into him at shows and catching up with life in general. He and his late wife, Patsy, were always there with a smile and a kind word. I will miss seeing him this season and at every show going forward. Rest in Peace Ray and God Bless. Thank you for all your smiles.
  6. It was a great evening. Many thanks to Ron Bonadonna and his committee, the Bon-Bon's Chorus and everyone involved in the dinner. Congratulations to all of the inductees. A special smile up to heaven for Eddie Hayes, Sr. Looking forward to next year already.
  7. Sad news. Jag was a good guy in drum corps. I remember him at Allentown in the early to mid 1980's. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word to me. God bless his soul. Another good drum corps man in heaven. My condolences to his family.
  8. Support drum corps in New Jersey and make your way to Wildwood NJ on June 17th. Looking forward to seeing my Bushwackers and all my drum corps friends. See you then.
  9. One of the good guys of drum corps. Congratulations Bob! Well deserved.
  10. Condolences to the Arietano family and the Sunrisers family. Screech was associated with many drum corps and we are all richer for that. Rest in Peace.
  11. Thanks Fran! The Bushwacker volunteers and Woodbridge HS Band Parents did a great job yesterday. Thank you to all the fans that braved the heat and humidity and especially all the corps members for performing on Sunday. We had a great time and the facility in Woodbridge is exceptional. We had a wonderful time seeing all of the Bushwacker Alumni and friends at the Hall of Fame Induction and at the show. A great day of drum corps!
  12. Looking forward to seeing everyone this Sunday 7/24 in Woodbridge NJ. The show will be great and the location is easy to find. The stadium stands have been replaced and the Woodbridge HS Band Parents run a great concession stand. Can't wait to see all the Bushwacker alumni and all our drum corps friends. See you Sunday in Woodbridge.
  13. Thank you BigW! A lot of people put in a lot of time and effort to make this work. We appreciate the fact you appreciated the effort and value for what you got. 19. Condolences to the Lozar family and the Minnesota Brass family from the Bushwackers organization.
  20. Good point gentlemen. In the 50 years of DCA only once has a corps gone from third place in prelims to first in finals, until last night. That year was 1986 when Bush was third in prelims and took first in finals. In 1986 the Cabs were tied for first in prelims with Steel City and the Cabs dropped to third in finals. Last night, the Bucs went from third in prelims to first in finals and again the Cabs went from first in prelims to third in finals. My friend Dave Linton was in Bush in 1986 and is on the brass staff of the Bucs. Congratulations Dave! Oh, and one more curious thing. The two times this happened it occurred on August 31st. Now back to your regular programming.
  21. Condolences from the Bushwacker organization to the Corso family. I stated this before on Facebook. I never heard Red say anything bad about anyone and I never heard anyone say a bad word about Red. Going to miss his smile at shows. Rest in peace and God bless.
  22. A big thank you to all the corps and fans who attended the Bushwacker Invitational this past Saturday night at Notre Dame High School in Lawrence NJ. It was a great evening of drum corps. Congratulations to the Caballeros and Excelsior for winning their respective classes and to Cadets 2, Bushwackers, Sunrisers, and Skyliners for their wonderful performances. And, to the Saints Brigade and Reilly's Raiders for their fantastic exhibition performances. The corps were on fire, the stadium was great and the weather was perfect. We hope you enjoyed the show under the full moon, we had to pay extra for that. Wishing everyone an enjoyable and safe remainder of the season. See you next year! GO BUSH!!
  23. Thank you Fran and Mike! We appreciate your support of our show. The Bushwacker Invitational is the last drum corps show in New Jersey for the 2014 season. It has been a great drum corps season in New Jersey with Wildwood, Wayne and Secaucus, now it's time to close the 2014 book with Lawrence. Come out and see a great competition and two great exhibitions! Support drum corps and have a fun time. The ticket tables open at 5pm and the show begins with the Saints Brigade at 7pm. There will be one ticket table for cash purchases and a second table for Will Call, Online Purchases and Credit Card purchases. See you in Lawrence this Saturday night!
