  1. combined C2 and C1 audition brass rehearsal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W-XWYgzsQQ&feature=youtu.be&a and the stick people: https://www.periscop...LWh3tFqZ4NT8Vhe
  2. Right you are. I was (already) discounting the rain-outs....as in Carolina Cloud, ha, ha. Thanks for the needed correction on my speed reading.
  3. I think he means this: https://www.periscope.tv/w/1BRKjNRpYwjKw and for the drum folk: https://www.periscope.tv/w/aSCl0TF4bmpyd0JhbmVFWUR8MUJSS2pOUnBZd2pLd9kr7_opKCvB0M9TJnLijl3BbmK1CLWh3tFqZ4NT8Vhe
  4. Thanks Matt As the Bristol show has always been known for the fireworks after, some from the Committee and Bristol Celebrations, some from the neighbors, I wonder if Cranston will supply any as the show is post-Fourth (on the Fifth.)
  5. Will the drones be required to do "manuevers" while lifting? Will we now need an aerial judge for "above the box"??? Box 7 has already been taken by The Big Guy.
  6. Happy Cadet New Year! Travel safe and have a great camp/auditions.
  7. Be still my heart! He must have been referring to one of these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piccolo_trumpet Didn't SCV use one of them several seasons back? Everyone knows that woodwinds went out of drum corps back in George Washington's time, except for the Old Guard in D.C.
  8. However, major design flaw is that U Penn has 2 consonants called n; official govt. abbreviation is PA. Obviously this fails the Channel 3 trolling ideologue standard and is relegated to the penalties previously incurred by Yale, Princeton, and Stanford.
  9. This link is on Cadets' official page today. Interesting that Spring Training will be back in Johnstown, PA and not Ada, Ohio. (Yes, I know he said he signed a 3 year deal....) And he's made a special arrangement with C. Christie to annex Ft. Lauderdale as part of Joisey. They already have enough snowbirds from there! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10153252478951911&set=gm.1026277344081548&type=3
  10. What they previously wrote and posted on DCP: "SCV will feature nearly 250 members in the parade representing the Vanguard, Vanguard Cadets, their Winter Guard and Winter Percussion Ensembles, and select members of the Vanguard Alumni Corps." http://www.scvanguard.org/about/news/?uuid=b962a936-ea2a-4e00-b563-89b80c482d7c
  11. I know during Indy finals this past summer there were a number of SCV meetings (with BoD, alumni from throughout the country, consultants from other corps and venues) as plans develop on how SCV will celebrate its anniversary in 2017, They have some big plans with announcements coming closer to the dates of 2017, Watch for it.
  12. Good luck to him. I hope his Dad stays nice and relaxed as he awaits the results of auditions. :-)
  13. Original plan Hopkins shared last year with MMs on tour was a Cali tour for 2016 But this was changed so that the Florida mini-tour had some consistently heavy hitters; Crown was remaining in Midwest to do its BOA week and following, not even being at Firstbeat/Crownbeat home show. Why are you picking on Cadets and not asking why BD never any longer seems to do the Northwest tour???
  14. I know USBands (Cadets Fall circuit) does shows at Cranston (East) for several years now.
  15. http://www.dci.org/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=33500&SPID=167909&SPSID=991516&DB_OEM_ID=33500 Spirit doing 22 shows including Championships week prelims, Semis, Finals benefit of doubt. This compares to Cadets doing 33 and even BD doing 27.
  16. Wasn't it 2011, the year they won DCI? They even went north up to Seattle with Hop throwing fish at the Fish Market. Vid of same is somewhere on DCP.
  17. Cadets doing 33 shows including prelims, semis, finals. Nice Northeast week around July fourth and then a month later. Here's the full list for Cadets. http://www.dci.org/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=33500&SPID=166009&SPSID=991819&DB_OEM_ID=33500 (Ssshh! They are doing Southern shows in Florida, North Alabama, and Georgia...but don't tell certain people...
  18. Cadets doing 33 shows including prelims, semis, finals. BD doing 27 including. Seems to be an increase for BD. Crown only doing 26. First impression is that not as many Open Class shows nationwide besides California.
  19. Bristol? DCI list gives the show as Cranston H.S. Stadium in Cranston, R.I. but then gives the google map photo of Mt. Hope H.S. which is in Bristol, usual site, although small, of annual contest and parade. This year contest day after July fourth to allow BAC for July 3rd. Crown doing BOA annual thing at Ball State. Bluecoats meet Cadets a few, Crown even fewer head to heads with these two before the Regionals. Posturing, posturing.... No Crown at their home show in July. Glad to see Regiment back on East Coast swing and Santa Clara heading up to Pacific Northwest while Madison scouts West and Southwest,. Link for July 16th Atlanta Area gives a redundant listing for Minn. show same day, no details for this Georgia version.. DeKalb TOC is first match-up of major players of previous summers. Both Carolina Crown and Cadets have some pivotal mid-summer camp/break weeks set for re-writes and Dome preps. BD doesn't see last year's top 4 all that often, do they?...except for Regionals and TOCs.
  20. DeNovi on DCI FB has responded that there will be 3 DCI shows in Florida this summer... patiently waiting, waiting, waiting.....
  21. ???? Are you deliberately trying to tick Gino off before auditions???
