  1. I’m extremely excited to see what Mandy has up their sleeves
  2. Actually, cash is. And AP isn’t verified. Sorry to disappoint the yay we’re back crowd but this is literally a SCV existential crisis.
  3. Oh, the red flags are right there in the opinion. It seems they weren’t able to truly verify anything of significance. Is there hope? Sure there’s hope, but it starts by getting their accounting in order, and that will be no small undertaking, and also getting their internal controls in order, which will require a lot of institutional discipline.
  4. We were the Saint Clair Shores Vanguards. Let’s just say in 1975, SCV would have beat us by 60 points.
  5. In 79 a CG member brought down her flag hard on my horn. (This was 27th, so clearly I was in the wrong spot … our CG didn’t make that sort of mistake.) Long story short, the next day, I had to put a soprano together from three salvaged horns.
  6. OK Unable to verify Bingo Revenue and related Expenses, Fixed assets and related Depreciation, Cash on hand, and Accounts Payable. Did miss I anything? Wow.
  7. I was in accounting for 15 years. This is the first qualified opinion I have ever seen. And yes, it means SCV’s accounting is really ####ed up.
  8. That’s right! I want to talk about their 1972 War and Peace show! Oops … wrong Vanguard
  9. Bloo in ‘16 worked with the blind flag tosses coming over the slides … Bloo ‘19 didn’t with the Hey Jude ending (IMO).
  10. Please … no retreads … be a vanguard in all its meanings.
  11. All I can say is Thank God … let’s move beyond this sinkhole to a more promising future.
  12. Who has it better than Michigan? NOBODY!
  13. My very limited understanding is that discussions mostly dealt with All Age and Soundsport
  14. The problem with Bloomington is that it is bleacher seating. The cupholders have me spoiled.
  15. On a different note: Glynis Johns, a Tony Award-winning stage and screen star who played the mother opposite Julie Andrews in the classic movie "Mary Poppins" and introduced the world to the bittersweet standard-to-be "Send in the Clowns" by Stephen Sondheim, has died. She was 100.
  16. I vote for Ford Field in Detroit. Of, course, I have no ulterior motive, just because Ford Field is in my backyard, it just makes perfect sense (to me). And the schools are not in session!
