I was able to turn off the auto shutoff permanently in my settings menu. No need to hit the button ever again for me! (It took me a while to find the setting, but the time investment was worth it.)

I am with you. After only putting a few thousand miles on my car last year, my 2019 Volvo has very low miles. It is like new.

Oh wow! No not like that. My wheels would simply lock-up and the car wash’s rollers would keep riding under my wheels. To solve the problem, I turn off the automatic engine shut off which I can with my Volvo. It did take me a few times with this happening for me to figure it out.

I also have a Volvo, and turn it off because it also activates the brakes. This becomes a problem in car washes.

I believe the demand to travel will increase significantly but will the supply of gas be there to meet it? I dunno. If the supply isn’t there, the price of gas will increase. Not necessarily. I have had three different cars since 2016. All of them had the automatic engine shut-off at red lights, stop and go traffic, car washes, etc. All of them have been 100% gasoline engines.

The good news is that the summer mix gets better mileage.

The current situation with the Colonial Pipeline shutdown is immediately impacting gas availability in the southeast and mid-Atlantic. That should certainly resolve itself by July, but gas prices were already creeping upward. It looks like with increased demand this summer combined with the underlying inflationary pressure that is emerging will have a negative impact on everyone’s travel plans.

Yeah, I sent in my request for Super 3 seats when they became available to the general public. Who knows what seats we will get? I am looking forward to Indy, but I still want to know what progress is being made to firm up the lead in tours. I would probably go to one or two of those events, provided they happen.

With the Switzerland trip being cancelled, I am reminded how tentative the whole short summer tour is. A lot of the shows on the schedule are only listed with general locations and tickets can’t be purchased except for Indy. In the end, the ebbs and flows of Covid cases and how the various states and localities react to those ebbs and flows will determine whether or not the shows happen. I am pretty confident Indy will happen but I am not so confident of any of the other shows. Maybe some of you posters have more firm information about the lead up tours?

These three members: BD is giving their members the trip of a lifetime for half the cost of other corps going to Indy. Yup, I think future members will remember. SCV has been rich but 2020 was rough for bingo and Indy is a long way for exhibitions. I don’t blame them for deciding to be cautious. Crown is rich? First I’ve heard of it. Making a video might be fun.
