  1. Is this Todd Knudson??? If so, I thought you were at Northglenn HS Winter Guard around then??? This is Edie (Bauerkemper) Williams.
  2. Nope, it was Troopers! My son talked to him a couple of weeks ago.
  3. In my opinion, 6 corps will compete for 11th and 12th: Crossmen, Blue Stars, Colts, Spirit, Glassmen and Capital Regiment. Glassmen and Capital Regiment will make the cut.
  4. Actually we (The Troopers) made finals in '81. 12th, but still made finals. Not saying I didn't have a good experience the years I marched corps and didn't make finals, but it is after all a competative sport...and a few years later, it still matters enough to write this post to clarify an incorrect statement. :)
  5. Word has it from the CR camp that they were very pleased with the first show of the aeson.
  6. For those of you who did this last year, is it really worth it? Are only certain shows/corps on streaming video? Please advise as our son is with a different corps this year. We can't catch as many shows as last year due to a different tour schedule! :(
  7. Not having seen the 2005 DVDs yet ('come on Santa!!), it's curious to me that SCV hasn't been mentioned even once in this thread, that I'm aware of.
  8. This is Kevin's wife Edie posting: At BK the year (early 80's) we had to wear royal blue unitards with silver lame` hoods was just awful! We were dubbed the "fishheads!"
  9. From Troopers web site.... At a recent meeting of the Board of Directors of DCI, it was decided that the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps would be removed from Division I membership status due to the organization's lack of compliance of the requirements necessary to maintain membership within DCI. In acknowledging this decision, the Troopers Board of Directors will be working with DCI to see that all current membership compliance requirements are met, thus enabling the Troopers to return to Division I status as quickly as possible in the future. As a part of the Troopers organization's plan in resolving this matter, the Executive Director, Mathew Krum, has resigned from his current position. There will be a restructuring of roles within the organization to continue plans of development for the 2006 season. These decisions will ultimately help guide the organization towards its continued goals in the future. There are challenges that lay ahead, but the immeasurable support and affection that existed for the Troopers will be the organization's greatest strength towards a vibrant future.
  10. It's really up to the Troopers to explain fully what's going on. On the surface it doesnt look good between this and Naffier bailing to the Crossmen. Hopefully Troopers will publish what is going on in the very near future.
  11. The download for Boston APDs says its from Quarter finals? Is this true? Why would the finals performance not be available??
  12. Count me in 100%. Finals night SCV was one of the most energetic, emotional moments of the night. The only way to describe it is Epic. When the horn line hit the flank in RCM how could you not feel what was going on? Incredible.
  13. Why not offer a poster for every D1 corps? Heck, it wouldn't be all that hard to offer a poster for D2 and D3 for that matter. They can't be all that hard to produce. Same template, just throw in a different pic and .pdf it.
  14. DCIs position on this is that, in order to make the program as close to the live event as possible it has been designed to present the corps as they appeared, not as they finished. Corps performing before Boston on Saturday night will appear in a shorter feature. A similar situation occurred on last years broadcast, when Carolina Crown who had finished in sixth in semifinals, were topped by the Bluecoats. Crown was on TV, Bluecoats were not.
