  1. Last year it was only $30 per month, so I just subbed for the two months of drum corps. Two years ago they jacked the price up to $50 a month about a week or two before the DCI season started, so it was $50 a month. That get's you a lot closer to the annual fee, so I just bought it for the year, but I really didn't watch it much after DCI. Good deal or not, just depends on what all you'd watch. I don't care for WGI or BOA myself, so if it stays $30 per month, I'll just keep buying the two months of the DCI season.
  2. This was the first show ever here in Cape Girardeau. We're the biggest town between St. Louis and Memphis, but only 37k. The stands were probably 2/3 full or so. Maybe a bit less. I think the combination of the extreme mugginess and this being the first time most people had seen a drum corps were why it was a bit dead. I got em clapping a few time :) I hope they made enough money to justify DCI bringing another show back again next year. I was really nice driving 10 minutes instead of 4 hours to the big Nashville show..haha.
  3. That was the encore. They just played their entire show again. It was wonderful!
  4. Vanguard's ballad is killer. posted from the DrumScorps app
  5. Except for the trombone soloist, didn't miss Vanguard's electronics at all. They had one speaker for the keyboard which has a major part in one of their tunes. Guess a mic'd pit would have been nice to, but overall it reminded me of the 90's when I got into drum corps!!! Legends made it here with all their fresh cash and were excellent :) posted from the DrumScorps app
  6. Kinda so so. It's incredibly muggy here in SE MO tonight. We barely made to 90 degrees but the heat index was well over 100. posted from the DrumScorps app
  7. Southwind sounded great. Had some screamers and really fun sectional solos. Les Stentors tried hard. I think all the horns doubled on battery at some point. Made the corp seem bigger than they were. Forgot to take a photo. Guardians had a really fun/hip show. Ball caps and sunglasses. Not a fan of all the Kanye voice overs, but I'm a 40 year old fart. Music and props were great. Intermission now. posted from the DrumScorps app
  8. They were in town for three days at the end of last week. The first chance I had to watch them was when they did a full run through, under the lights, and in uniforms. I wasn't expecting much since it was still spring training for them, but I was really blown away by how good they sounded and looked. They obviously have some cleaning to do, and some bugs to work out with the sound equipment, but I think you're all gonna like show. I liked it so much, I went back the next evening and watched a 2 hour full corps cleaning rehearsal. On a side note....I'm a brass repair tech by trade and got to take out dents on 6 of their tuba bells and 3 mellos. Also, a little soldering for an added bonus. I hate taking dents out of tubas, but didn't seem to mind it as much this time :)
  9. Must just be spotty customer service. I filled out their "contact us" email form on Sunday evening with one question, and had an email reply by 10am the next morning.
  10. Last year I just streamed the video in Chrome on my desktop and then cast that to the ChromeCast on my TV. I had a few image quality buffering problems, but overall I was happy with how it worked. I'll see what happens with tomorrow night's free, preview show and the ChromeCast and then make the final decision about buying the Roku. I don't think I wanna mess with moving my PC tower every time there's a show. I don't own a laptop...just a phone, tablet, and tower.
  11. I emailed Flosports last night and asked about separate multi and high cam feeds before I decided to purchase my subscription. Here was my question: Before I purchase my flomarching subscription, I was wondering if there was going to be an option to choose between a multi camera feed and a high camera feed at each show? Thanks! And his short but timely reply: Thank you for reaching out. It is an option. If you have any further questions please let me know. ----------------------------------------- Guess I'm probably gonna buy a $40 Roku and 2 months of FloMarching for $100.
