This years show for some reason has me getting emotional already. I cannot wait to see this live I will likely be bawling my eyes out and throwing babies by the end I'm sure of it.

Completely agree with this. Mostly due to the 12 place and then maybe 3 and 5 could swap. This is with what I’ve come to after seeing previous rehearsals of a few corps and what I saw last night, as well as rumblings from those at rehearsals I haven’t seen.

This show has definitely grown on me since my first viewing about a week ago. I’m starting to really love the moments in it, even had a big smile on my face the other night watching the bfdtv upload. With additions to the field show to make these moments pop, which I know Townsend is a master at creating, it will be a lovely show for sure to watch grow until finals!

I might be more biased as a really close friend marched that year with them so It was extra special, but what a show that was top to bottom.

What about SCV in '18? I would put that as the top ballad of the year.

I didnt see an Academy thread for 2022 yet so I thought I'd make one! They had their send off show tonight, did not make their memorial day event so this was my first time hearing them this season and I have to say I really liked what I heard. The show is exciting and well played, the sound is loud and full for this early in the season and it seemed like the crowd was also really into it. Excited to hear and see more in about a month when they are back in AZ for Drums Across the Desert.

After the last few years, and then seeing zoom last season, this is a tale as old as time. They have consistently set themselves up with amazing shows and perform that at high levels. Boston is set to either win it all, or come second. My gut is telling me the former and for some reason I can't shake it. Best of luck this season and I can't wait to see the show!

Is anyone going to the mesquite show practice at Randall middle school? Was thinking of attending and haven’t been to a crown rehearsal before.
