  1. I wouldn't even do one of those stand in a horn arc things anymore. No offense to anyone who does that but I donā€™t want to wear a costume anymore. Iā€™ve been done playing for 22 years and absolutely fine with it.
  2. I thought I was going to die when I did RA when I was 44. And that was old timey stuff.
  3. Iā€™m almost at the top of 139 now. A couple of rows behind @Jurassic Lancer last year. I canā€™t sit down there anymore. Iā€™d like to keep what hearing I still have left. šŸ˜‚
  4. The Oprah tarp and saggy Capitol building? Lol the show was about Presidents. The President only goes to the Capitol building once a year. Maybe they were out of saggy White House tarps. Oh and the stage where section 140 could see nothing but the pit. Fun stuff.
  5. We need to get back to Phantom before my buddy @Sutasaurus gets mad at me. šŸ˜‚ One more thing, though. I found out my Dad served in Korea when they installed his gravestone. It said Korea on it. What a way to find out. My family didnā€™t communicate well.
  6. It is like pulling teeth to get them to talk about their experiences. I didnā€™t even know my father had served in Korea until after he had passed away. I knew heā€™d been in (West) Germany but he never talked about Korea. I can only surmise that he saw a lot. God bless your Grandfather.
  7. You should have seen the security around that power site and he was there to design even more.
  8. Jim had to walk a site in Chester, PA years ago and he was told to not stop for anything. lol šŸ˜‚. They used to have a show there, too.
  9. Lol just lip it. Sounds like the old days. The Illini are taking years off my life.
  10. I liked the show where they played Burt Bacharach songs. The Godfather one. Dance marathon. I have no idea what years those were. There was one show last year that I didnā€™t care for (I loved BDlast year so it wasnā€™t them) but I sat politely and watched because they were really good and I respect the members.
  11. A guy next to me drank seven beers in Foxboro in 05. It was none of my business. I did do the math on how much it cost to drink seven crappy beers In that place. Heā€™d ran up quite a tab.
  12. I didnā€™t say anything about it except to Jim. It just wasnā€™t my bag. Of course, it was executed beautifully. I certainly wouldnā€™t laugh at it. I still remember the Madison crowd booing 91 Star. That was disgusting.
  13. I just figured out valve one/rotor two. There was no three for me until 2000. I played French horn in band. He wasnā€™t a trombone player.
  14. I sat with people in 2014 who had been going for decades. OP like me.
  15. I marched with people who couldnā€™t read a note of music as currently as 2003. When weā€™d get a change, the mellophones would gather around me and Iā€™d play it for them three or four times. They were quick learners, though. Iā€™m a slave to the page of music but they werenā€™t. I did teach one of my fellow members how to read though because I got tired of seeing fingerings all over the page. He could read after the season and proudly showed me his practically pristine music in 2004.
  16. I didnā€™t laugh but it was my least favorite BD show. Iā€™ve liked them every year since 2014.
  17. They sure were. They were Div 3, then 2, the back into open class.
