  1. The panel told us they judged us like we were a DCI Open Class corps. Don’t know what to think about that, but it’s another set of opinions we will use to get better. We go back to work tomorrow.
  2. CT received a 62.95 this evening. Next week we’re on DCA sheets.
  3. I guess you have to be forced to eat it at a very young age to acquire a taste. We’re in a hotel room with only one bathroom. We were afraid we were going to recreate the bathroom scene from Bridesmaids.
  4. If I never have it again I won’t feel like I missed anything.
  5. There is no equation to determine value of a DCI judged score on DCA sheets to a DCA judged score on DCA sheets. If there is any common ground, it is that DCI judged performances usually result in a lower score. How much lower can be debated by others, and I’m not interested in debating the issue in the least. The CT administration firmly believes that their members and staff deserve to be adjudicated and their score made public. Hard work and commitment should be recognized. It is what it is. Scores will change with the next panel of opinions. The majority of reasonable people understand that head-to-head competition is the only way to determine placement. DCI scores are to be taken with whatever grain of salt you want to use. All the corps are doing well and are off to a good start. The fans are the winners.
  6. Housing will continue to be an issue for DCI. Many of these school systems are dealing with the publicity of teachers found to be sexual predators. Allowing an organization dealing with the same issues and some still harboring defrocked educators is something the school systems don’t want to deal with In addtion, the abundance of props being pushed and pulled around their field turf is not going over very well with athletic directors.
  7. Waiting for the apologist to come out of hiding.
  8. The Cadets had success in spite of him. He wasn’t very good at anything.

  11. I doubt there will ever be another show in Hoschton again.
  12. To my knowledge there is no official score listed on DCI or recap. DCI will only post a score upon approval from the corps. Doubt it was a DCI oversight to not post Rochester. Did they also forget Minneapolis too?
