  4. How far are we willing to go back? 1965 Chicago Royal Airs were one of the best corps ever.
  5. It's a dream; she is dreaming until the very end of the show; when her dream becomes real and she finds herself in reality. She's made it.
  6. I guess you have never been to the West coast. More widespread than norovirus
  7. You must remember that if you don't agree with them, there is something wrong with you. It's somewhere on page 1005 of the DCP user handbook.

  11. Go back to the old formula like prior to 2017. I loved those shows.
  12. The percussion scores were spot on. Crown plays a lot of unison parts in tight formations and that’s why they were cleaner. Little depth of content, little environmental and physical demands. It’s now time to face the music.
  13. Blooo another victory and a larger spread
  14. No we won’t be there. We will be in St. Louis for a play day
  15. I still don’t get the teeter totter thingie
  16. I have and I’m seeing them again in St. Louis too
  17. Blooo that’s one of if not the best productions ever. Outstanding performance

  19. With that staff! Only a fool would not look in their rear view mirror. Boston will continue to pull down better numbers. That staff has been there and done that with other corps, so there’s no reason to believe it won’t happen with Boston.
  20. The drum book is written to capture the feel of the jazz idiom and not your traditional layering of rudiments within the ensemble. Bloo has a lot of environmental and physical demands due to staging and visual design. A traditional written approach with different rudiment signatures would be in direct contrast with the jazz idiom and feel. Many of these percussion judges are expecting rudiment signatures spread across percussion voices, that’s not what Bloo is laying down for an entire production. There are certainly elements of that but it’s not the basis of the writing. I would suggest that the percussion judges listen to the musical phrasing as a cohesive jazz musical idiom and stop wanting to hear a bunch of rim shots and double paradiddle diddles and triplet rolls. Trust me Bloo is plenty clean with their jazz stylization approach. As with most of what Bloo does it’s ahead of the times.
