This is sad and shocking news out of Santa Clara tonight. We hope for the very best for this storied organization as they tackle the obstacles ahead of them. We'd like to limit discussion to THIS THREAD ONLY for this news topic. Any other posts will be deleted so that the page isn't overrun. We encourage everyone to approach this topic sensitively and with empathy as many people are hurt and saddened by this news. While discussion and discourse is encouraged we will still moderate according to the group rules as needed.

1) Corps have the right to restrict access to rehearsal sites, much like a tenant has the right to restrict access to their apartment/condo/etc from the general public. If a corps has expressed the desire to bubble up; you can either respect it or possibly enjoy the hospitality of the local jurisdiction 2) DCP is a privately hosted forum, the 1st amendment does not apply. Read the terms of service upon signing up.

And that's where promoters and those smaller corps need to come to an agreement of, "hey, you're smaller than our paying customers want in a full show. Put on an exhibition at the start, follow up with a couple charts as scores are tabulated/run down. We'll even toss in a couple mentions of, 'if you liked what you saw, so-and-so corps is looking for more members for this season or for next year.'" Show promoter promotes the mini-corps as an opener, pays an appearance fee.
