  4. I agree that DCI should just do away with the classes. The way to decided who gets paid and who doesn't? (Currently Open Class gets little to no performance fees) Two factors: 1) Place in the top 25 2) Must attend, San Antonio, Atlanta and Allentown
  5. This "Championship Series" is all but wrapped up. As we know, as the season progresses the point spreads get smaller. 1.35 is a HUGE gap to make up in 6 shows. For argument sake if BD or Cadets were to beat Crown in all of the remaining TOC shows by .2 Crown will still win the Series. Standings Crown = 0 BD = -1.35 Cadets = -1.55 SCV = -3.10 PR = -4.70 Coats = -6.95 Cavs = -7.15
  6. I don't know what this is about but here is what I was told. I asked a friend "in the know" for his opinion of the recent G7 letter and told me that he rather not comment, BUT there would be an announcement soon that would "restore my faith in the activity". What that means, I don't know.
  7. Someone please nominate Jack Bevins. I would if I had the time, or the lyrical skills to write a nomination.
  8. Will be interesting to see how South Shore DT does in the cold weather. Much luv.
  9. Let’s not forget that the 88 show got some complaints from the “Violence Against Women” crowd, when said matador slaps the dancer across the face.
  10. Personally, I think regionals should be open to all corps to compete on the same sheets. This would give the OC corps a chance to see where they stand on the WC sheets prior to quaterfinals.
  11. Speaking fom experience, the "slow-walk" race was an opportunity for comic relief. Didn't really matter which corps it was, making fun of the situation, without being disrespectful, was what it was all about for me. On the west coast, SCV would be the ones to "slow-walk" the best. We would march right up to them, slow down....to a crawl. He would go slower. We'd come to a halt, then march backwards. Then RUN to the front, sit in the lawn chair then point as if to say "Hey, can you speed this up". The funny thing is this would change night after night. It was all in good fun.
