  1. This was a blast. If you can, go do it. I want to, but don't think I can swing it $$$ wise.
  2. I went to the one in NYC last year and had a blast. I'm a soprano and mello player, and had no problems playing a baritone. I got a little tired at the end of the day, but that's to be expected. I wish I could go this year. :(
  3. Best of both worlds. One on the field and one upstairs! :)
  4. They were clearly the best musical unit there today. The hornline was on fire, and didn't have the intonation issues the other bands did. Very nice. :)
  5. This is a tough call. BOA isn't that big of a deal out here in the East. We follow USSBA and TOB, and, to a lesser extent, NYSFBC. All 3 circuits have great programs. All 3 circuits top 5 programs are forces to be reckoned with and are the prides of their schools. I've seen the 'BOA' ready schools in TOB and USSBA. I don't like the programs they put out. They're more artsy and abstract, which is something I don't like to see on a football field. Maybe that's the way BOA judging sheets are written, I don't know. But I see BOA, and I want to go to sleep, based on what I've seen out here. I've not seen the Grand Nationals, so my own sample is skewed regarding BOA. But, don't get me wrong, the kids are extremely talented, and good at what they do. COULD they take on a Division I program? Maybe. IF, and only if, you leveled the playing field. If you cut down a top BOA to DCI levels, you might see them take out 18-21, but that's about it. I also agree with those that state DCI drumlines would blow away high school drumlines. DCI drumlines are a whole separate universe. We need bands and drum corps to coexist. It's the best of both worlds. :)
  6. Lessee...All expenses paid... DCA - where's the sign up sheet DCI - before Amps yes, now, not so sure. USSBA - Yawn TOB - Yes BOA - Yawn BOA: I want to see MARCHING BAND, not this production that reminds me of a broadway show. USSBA: They're in Jersey usually, or Allentown, which is in easy driving distance, so the expenses aren't so much the issue, just I don't like all the amps and pagentry and stuff. I want in your face marching and playing. TOB: Closest this comes to what I want.
  7. There are right ways and wrong ways to say things like this. This, sir, is assuredly the wrong way.
  8. Clear all your cookies and your cache. Run the setup to firefox again. If necessary, uninstall and reinstall firefox. Other than that, not much else I can suggest. I'm using firefox and it's working great! b**bs
  9. I remember in 2001 that the Grennies were a judged exhibition. We beat them that week. :)
  10. You have no idea what went on regarding the changes made. None of you do. Did you actually think we woke up yesterday and just said "Lets see how we can screw with users?" Please.
  11. Input is always accepted Lisa, but no, the users do not have to be consulted for any changes. And, when said moderator receives 2 PMs from a user blasting him and basically being inconsiderate, you can believe that moderator might be a touch short with said user, donor or not.
