  1. Very unclassy thing to say and since they didn't go and compete head to head that night (or any other night, if I recall correctly), impossible for you to support any kind of claim of superiority. Doesn't make for giving a good impression of your corps when you say things like that, either.
  2. The majority (all?) of the concessions run at Gillette are by non-profit organization volunteers, not professional food servers, which probably accounts for some of that problem. Several local HS bands, for instance, have parents and band members working the stands to raise funds for band trips.
  3. I drove passed several extremely close lots that were 10.00 a car to park earlier today and the last time I went to the stadium for a Revs game, the food/drink prices weren't that high at all. It's a fabulous place for finals, IMO... I'm jealous of my son, who just scored free 50-yard line tickets for tonight's finals. <_< I haven't seen the fields very recently to know what condition they're in, though..
  4. I think this is supposed to be in the official thread, but it seems to be locked.. anyway.. anyone have any info at all about scores? I gave my ticket to someone who didn't have one, since I couldn't bear the idea of sitting in that heat today. I think i'm allergic to the high temp. Anyway, it's been over for a bit now, I think, and I've not heard anything. Thanks
  5. No flames from me! I can't *stand* how so many people yap, yap, yap through a show. Doesn't matter whether it's a DC, MB or WGI performance, I seem to always get next to the chatterboxes and hyperactive children. <**> Ugh. The weather person said that tomorrow's temps and humidity will make it feel the hottest so far this year. Another Ugh. Combine high heat, humidity with yappers and I might snap, I swear ..
  6. I agree, however, rules are rules. There were so many corps with penalties at prelims.. you would think the corps' staff would make sure they are doign everything right! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My reply was in reference to this line: "I suspect that if ECJ lets up for even one phrase Thursday night then Spartans will take them." Spartans did 'take them'- to use his phrase- on the field of performance, anyway. I was not complaining about the end result, or the penalty (anyone know what it was for, btw?).. just commenting on what he's implied.. that Spartans can only win by ECJ 'letting up'... Either corps could win (or both could lose, for that matter) and it will quite possibly be due to one or the other (or both..) 'letting up'.. but that doesn't have to be the case at all.. They could both lay it all out on the field, and as they say.. any given day.. Looking forward to Saturday, glad they're local this time. (And lets hope they've *all* managed to fix their 'issues' that have caused penalties, whatever they may be. I hate it when there is an asterisks on the end result.)
  7. without the penalty of .6 they did take the the highest score. Pentalties at this late date are frustrating.
