for the corps,.............Annapolis is the most expensive of these venues in terms of overall cost, and logistics are a nightmare,..............and the primary reasons DCA will probably never go back,.....................

while distance is an issue for many, Rochester is my favorite,..............low cost, .............no competing interests as the city is largely vacant labor day weekend,......................... nice accomodating people everywhere, ........................ I am in town for drum corps so I have little interest in tourist attractions,................................. historic drum corps region, with ticket prices at the level they are, no matter where else you go, local, non-fans are unlikely to attend,.....................easy place to get around,..............

They simply need to place a tote full of muzzles and ovens mitts in the staff areas............

I hope they gain some points across the week,...............what would any DCA corps give to have control of the members for an entire week of rehearsals,............

The voting corps themselves vote on such matters, not the officers,.........................I can't wait to see attendance explode next year in Williamsport.....................

Your point is well taken, however, corps that are looking to be evaluated should look at what their priorities are,....if they are running a winter guard and/or an indoor drumline, all while trying to run a start up corps, are probably taking on too much. If they make the decision to have their eveluation on a day that their indoor programs are on the road, is a choice they make, and should not be laid at the feet of DCA or DCI............

I believe the Centurians are planning to put it on the field this coming year,..............and a new group called The Corps wants to give it a go,..............rumors are there is an effort in the Pittsburgh area as well,...........
