  1. I guess all that I can say is: "And the ESPY goes to...BUCKNELL UNIVERSITY!!!!" Trevor
  2. Jeff, thanks for the thorough review...man you took a lot of notes! By the way, I unfortunately did not hear your "Welcome home" yell. I'll have to have my mother give you lessons on how to project cheers from the audience...hahaha Trevor
  3. Ahhhh...Hershey 1988...That was my first speeding ticket ever. I had my first day of classes at Bucknell University on that Monday and my last class didn't get out until 4:00 PM. I ran to the dorm, changed into my uni, grabbed my horn, and hit the road. I should have been able to make it there in time for Bucs' warmup time, but I hit aweful holiday traffic on Route 15. As soon as I got on the interstate and crossed the Susquehanna River bridge, I floored it pinning the needle at 85. The radar detector was a GREAT idea normally, but I wasn't counting on a helicopter that was timing cars with a stopwatch between painted lines. Needless to say, I was caught and pleaded my case when I got pulled over. You know...something like..."Officer it was my first day of classes...blah...blah...blah...I am late trying to get to the Drum Corps Associates' World Championships in Hershey...blah...blah...blah...My Corps goes on the field in 20 minutes...blah...blah...blah...Can you in any possible way give me an escort to the stadium?" It didn't work!!!! He wrote the ticket for 87 MPH...rather slowly I might add...and I went on my way (speeding again) and pulled into the stadium as the Corps was coming on the field. I parked illegally, made my way in the front gate and waited at parade rest on the sideline as the Corps finished the opener, finally joining them on the field as they started the second tune. Yep! That experience will stay with me the rest of my life! :P
  4. Geeeee, I'm surprised that no one mentioned the pit drill in the drum solo yet! It's quite impressive...especially for people who don't take part in basics block!! OK...I better duck now! Trevor
  5. Dawn Marie must have gotten an early start on negotiating with the weather Gods this week...early forecast is for sun and highs in the upper 70's to low 80's! Sunday afternoon is a little sketchy though. Of course this is Central NY and the forecast will change 30 times between now and then! Trevor
  6. WOW! Looks like we might actually get some warmer weather this weekend! YEAH!!!! :sos: By the way, if anyone is getting into town in the AM, please let me know. I need one or two sets of hands this weekend to help me with lining fields. Please email me directly...THANKS! See you all tomorrow! Trevor
  7. ... You're right, Shawn! If you do she's sure to kick you in the @ss! Trevor P.S. I'll see the drummers soon!!!!
  8. Evil Reneguard Diva, groups have done nearly every type of idiom imaginable. Some do serious performances, while others do something light and jovial. Some will spend a lot of time rehearsing in advance, while others throw something together at the last minute.....sometimes literally. It doesn't matter as long as you have fun doing what you do! Can't wait to see you ]:-) ones!!!!
  9. Man, Jeff! What a great review!! I totally felt like I was there with ya. I fondly remember my days at the Forum with Bucs...especially my first time as a scared little Rookie. What a great venue to watch drum corps! Maybe someday we'll bring the corps down that way for the early season concert, but of course St. Joe's concert is just so darn close for us. Anyway, thanks for bringing back my memories about the Forum! :)
  10. cmhs59, thanks for the review and the kind comments! I'm sure that all the corps would love to hear some more reviews if anyone would take the time to put their thoughts in writing. THANKS AGAIN!!
