bariforhire
They were just a bunch of wannabe Skyliners.
donincardona
They were just a bunch of wannabe Skyliners. now that's definatly not true. i won't get into why they disappeared but they formed from the championship crusaders of 1972. the nucleus was was from the great purge of cru in 1972. they were on the cusp of greatness. JimF-LowBari
They were just a bunch of wannabe Skyliners. Took me a few seconds to catch it.... I was gonna say wannabe Westshoremen since both corps had the Olds Duratones (flat finish) horns. Wannabes of 1975 version of Westshore.. yeah right... 1975 Phoenix is still one of my favs to listen to. fish66
There's a tribute link with story's, pics, and recordings at Mighty St. Joe's web site thanks for the link. answered my question, and gave a nice thumbnail overview of their short history. apparently the subject of phoenix stirs some bittersweet memeries for many....no harm intended, just curious. they were a hot ticket at the time though......sure got the hurcs attention the first time we met!!! peace
