InspaDave
We welcome a corps even if they have less than 30 guys. One of my favorite shows yesterday was the Cherry Blossoms. Fifeteen people . . . . total corps. 2 Sopranos 2 Mellophones 2 Baritones 1 Contra 2 Snares 1 Tenor 1 Bass Drum (rack) 1 Keyboard 2 Guard 1 DM The show consisted of the greatest drum corps hits from the 70s and 80s. Loved it.
Eddie
Recaps were just posted (with the wrong link ) on dcjpn.org Correct link: http://www.dcjpn.org/cgi-bin/dlcnt/dlcnt.cgi?file=f_ajc2009 I just finished my review and mailed it in to Kevin. Too much to write, so I'm not thinking this will be one of my better ones. But... this year's showing was amazing. Like Dave said, not a show that wasn't entertaining. Inspires ROCKED!! I mean, my god what a brilliantly devised visual show (Wesley Bullock is credited as the visual designer)... and kudos to the young instructors for fulling that show off. Tokyo Phoenix won high brass (and rightly they should) and Scouts won percussion. I had had those mixed yesterday... sorry. Ken... the second piece Blossoms played is called Open Up Wide (1977 Saints??). Jokers had a wickedly clean show. I would have had them 2nd and Inspires 3rd IMHO Sonic scored higher than Cherry Blossoms in DCJ championships for the first time since 1998... and best showing overall since 2002. Dolphins have out-cuted BDC

InspaDave
so wait,................is there a "G" bugle division, and an "Any Key" division? Yes. The any-key division has to be bell front brass, and no woodwinds allowed.
