MetalTones2012
This has been a hot topic in World Class, so let's do this for Open! With Surf and Spokane out of the rankings this will be interesting! 1. Blue Devils B - angry about last year, no way they're gonna let it happen again, lots of vets 2. Oregon Crusaders - continuing show designs that work, fun year for members 3. Capital Sound - being the former World Class corps, they will get a lot of attention from auditionees 4. Raiders - large flow of new talent from Surf going World Class, it will be hard but with effort they can pull it off 5. Citations - harder drill and larger drumline, otherwise mostly same scores as 08 6. Teal Sound - same talent as previous years, about the same score 7. Revolution - more horns and more entertaining show 8. Vanguard Cadets - with most of last year's members moving on to the A corps it will be a rough year for them 9. Velvet Knights - large corps like last year, now they'll have the staff to match it 10. Legends - now that they've made their mark in Open Class, interest will attract members 11. Music City - good planning and talented members will get this first-year corps farther than anyone expected 12. Yamato - growing in both membership and talent rapidly 13. Spartans - having Tom Aungst will help only so much, miss Finals by fractions of a point 14. Chippewa Valley Brigade - strong for a first-year corps 15. Dutch Boy - same numbers as last year but not as much talent 16. 7th Regiment - growing slowly but surely 17. Impulse - will begin a slow recovery period after last year 18. Racine Scouts - more drums to match last year's swell in the hornline 19. Colt Cadets - about the same as last year 20. Spirit of Newark - new facility will help, but not much 21. Les Stentors - more members, but same talent Gold - consistent all summer, would make Finals easily if they went to Indy Incognito - growing, will beat Mystikal most but not all times Mystikal - slight differences from last year, but mostly the same City Sound - can't really say what will happen with this new corps Targets - nothing changes for this corps Blue Devils C - little corps that could churns out solid members for 2010's B corps Edited January 7, 2009 by MetalTones2012

bhs alumni
13. Chippewa Valley Brigade - strong for a first-year corps, miss Finals by fractions of a pointCity Sound - can't really say what will happen with this new corps so what's the difference between these two new corps that causes your assumtion one will be almost at finals, and the other you can't figure (yes i know City Sound isn't scheduled to attend finals)
MetalTones2012
Are these strictly your assumptions?? or do you have inside knowledge on all the corps by either visiting their first camps or know someone from each organization that has given you the lowdown on each program this early in the year?? Why is everybody always angry on DCP? Yes all of these are assumptions, none of this is supposed to be real. That's why these are PREDICTIONS and not FACTS. Geez, you people. Grow up! It's only a forum. Edited January 7, 2009 by MetalTones2012

MetalTones2012
so what's the difference between these two new corps that causes your assumtion one will be almost at finals, and the other you can't figure (yes i know City Sound isn't scheduled to attend finals) Because Chippewa has been trying to start a corps for years now and even managed to do an exhibition at one point, so they already have some degree of experience. On the other hand, City Sound is brand new and has hardly made any press releases yet, except that they're doing better than expected which isn't really an indication on how they will compare to other corps. Jared315
Cool! I will give it a go. Top 4 (Any Order) Oregon Crusaders - Good show design- good return of staff, and good momentum from 08 BDB - Denied in 08 but will come back strong just like thier World Class Conterparts Teal Sound - Have built a good base and will continue to be in the hunt until thier departure to World Class Revolution - Had a strong DL in 08, add to that a larger hornline, and better guard (WG) WOW Next 4 (Any Order) Capital Regiment - Must shake the cobwebs off after 2 years out SCVC - Someone said it best A corps takes away the talent (Rebuild) Citations - Steady growth but playing field is gonna be tough Raiders - Big improvements are underway and it will show! Final 4 (Any Order) Velvet Knights - Steady rise - besides from what I hear gonna be a great show! Spartans - hard to keep a good corps with great history out for too long Yamato - Consistancy is thier key word! Memphis Sound - Transitions in location could prove positive, but it may take time. (Dark Horse) Semi Finalist - (Any Order) Dutch Boy Legends Impulse 7th Regiment Music City Quarterfinalist - (Any Order) Colt Cadets Racine Scouts Spirit of Newark/ New Jersey Les Stentors Chippawa Valley Do we know if any International Corps are coming over?
