The history of the Westshoremen

Recommended Posts

MAYBE just one.... The date of the Verdun show was August 22nd, and it was on a Sunday. So there MAY have been one in between....I have to search out my old schedules....

Ok...that took less time than I thought:

August 28th Contest in Philadelphia

August 29th Exhibition in Philadelphia

September 4th Reading exhibition

September 5th prelims & finals

Don't remember Philly??? Archie show, maybe?

Well they have the DATE for Verdun wrong....it was the day after DCI that year, on a Sunday...

Not sure....don't recall anything really...shows all seemed to blend into one another. I remember the first show that year more than anything else

Just saw another WSM obit in the PAtriot but had to go to the funeral homes site for better info. Didn't know him that well but he played sop at least in the late 70s and was shorter than me. IIRC, the weekend trips it was Brian, Tom Bowman, Craig Schomburg and me to a room. Just too #### bad I saw the obit 2 hours after the viewing....

Brian Lee Alexander

I think there may have been a show or 2 between Montreal and finals weekend, but not more than that

From what I remember, there was one show weekend in between the Canada show and Labor Day weekend.

We were in Bridgeport the weekend before the championships.

That Canada weekend was pretty wild. Several of us in Sun decided not to go to DCI Finals and instead spent our evening riding the Metro subway and bar-hopping throughout Montreal. Probably not the best idea for the night before an afternoon show.
