Patriot
For me: 1. 95 Madison - No comparison 2. 89 SCV - Just so much emotion 3. 08 Phantom - Ditto 4. 91 Star - Cross to cross; nuff said. 5. 99 Madison - From that block to the cross to star, just balls to the wall 6. 84 Cadets - Hard to describe 6. 00 Cadets - Maybe the dirtiest I've ever seen out of Cadets, but the emotion gets me every time 7. 97 Madison - Fun and exciting 8. 88 Madison - Just wow 10. 04 SCV - Pure amazing, from the rippling company front to the surprise soft ending

SuperTrumpet64
'08 Phantom - Killing a DM and just crazy speed. '89 SCV - Disappearing act. '91 Star - The crosses '03 Phantom - EMOTION! Oh wow... and the reprisal of Canon. '09 Crown - The reappearing company front, and just the electricity at finals. '09 SCV - Beautiful, I 'm pretty sure it took my breath away. '93 Star - Nice way to go out, got robbed. (even though I liked '93 Cadets too) '09 Troopers - I just like this show. '06 Cavis - Machine. '06 Phantom - Faust, just wow. the hammer
My top 12 (I loved this topic), in no particular order(1978 SCV) 1982 SCV 1980 Scouts 1988 Scouts 1995 Scouts 1980 Bridgemen (1980 27th) 1980 Spirit 1992 Crossmen 1984 Cadets 1991 Star 1988 BD 1980 was an awesome year! Actually, I need to amend this list. Can only have one Bottle Dance year and even though 1982 was off tempo, it was an unreal ending. I think the 1979 27th Lancers performance of Danny Boy was better. It's Danny Boy, after all!
redteamer
Keeping in mind that my show ending experiences are limited to the last four years when live, and then purchased DVDs (I own very few). 03 Cavaliers - This may be the most clever ending to a show I've seen. 07 Crown - Love it. 08 Phantom - Duh. Also, I LOVE the way the Cadets end a show. Marching and playing. Marching AND playing! Company fronts that pinwheel sequentially into another company front. Compression onto the 50 yard line followed by several sets of mind-blowing, frenetic, symmetrical drill (1999 comes to mind). Exciting build supported by very intelligently written harmonic progressions and increasingly nervous visuals. Often times, one more WOW moment, followed by an ending form that gives a sense of familiarity (what is the significance of that 'X'?). Goosebumps every time.
