fsubone
Jazz is a bad call for Crown.or heavy Classical -did not work in 2010. Dont forget there are fans watching these shows. heavy classical seemed to work great for Crown. It fits their musical style perfectly. And yes, there are fans watching the shows, and LOVING THEM!!!!!!!!
corpsband
When is a drum corps show ever NOT fluid? I should know better than to ask anything at all :-)

Jerseyboy
heavy classical seemed to work great for Crown. It fits their musical style perfectly. And yes, there are fans watching the shows, and LOVING THEM!!!!!!!! First 1:30 of un judged performance was a 10. The rest was a 6. Going for a championship and finishing 4th. Not the plan. Looking for better in 2011.

Looking for better in 2011. Meh, I for one loved hearing music I've played in a wind orchestra on the field, namely Danzon No.2 and Nimrod. And if going for a championship is the plan, then this is probably the reason drum corps might fail. I thought it was more about the experience than the score at the end. Jeff Ream
Great call on the music from Gettysburg! Everytime I watch that movie I mention to my wife that a corps should do this music. Great emotionally charged music. i have to agree. an awesome score

bawker
or heavy Classical -did not work in 2010. The first two minutes of 2010 are the epitome of what drum corps is to me. YMMV, I guess.
ContraRich77
I can tell you that whatever Crown does in 2011, I will love it. Even if they take the field wearing bubblewrap armed with kazoos, they will find a way to kick ### with it.
chris ncsu
Loved their music past few years, for the most part. Whether or not they win gold in the near future, they're still very creative and probably the corps I most look forward to seeing what they come up with, behind Cadets of course :) That goes for placements, too, daggummit! :)
