Hello all!

I marched with the Dayton Ky Buccaneers in the 70s. We were a Class A corp that had a bomb baritone line from '72-'74.

Welcome to DCP, and isn't it a small world! In Cincinnati Tradition we have several Queen City Cadets and a Golden Knight, yours truly, who perform, and a Black Shield of Sparta on staff. Probably several folks you competed with. Not to mention alumni of Pride of Cincinnati, Bluecoats, Garfield Cadets etc.

Thanks, Robert!

That's fantastic! I would not be surprised if I knew at least one of the people in the Tradition. Those were some fun days, we all competed against each other but stayed friends. Seeing the corp members each year at all the shows was something I always looked forward to.

We kick off at 9:30 w/corps breakfast and break into sections by 10. You mentioned the Green Machine bari line, was that your preferred implement?

Thanks.

The baritone line was the Buccaneers, I was a part of that for three years, we were a close group. Before that I played drums for 4 years.

I'm going to try and make it there this Sunday to see what's all going on, and hopefully see some old friends.

Breakfast is served by the support staff at 9:30 A.M. Rehearsal begins at 10:00 A.M. Lunch is served generally around 1:00 P.M. Please join us for both meals and enjoy the company of some good drumcorps folks!

Welcome to DCP, JayDub!

I'm the resident faithful pooch around here, never marched corps, but a huge fan of the activity. I hang out mostly in off-topic, where I have something like 32K posts on here. When I'm not busy marrying off my daughters (4 total, one left to go), you'll find me at a show near you, like Fairfield most years. Or Indy, like in '09 and '03. Or Bloomington, like in '08. Or Louisville, like in '05.

Only reason I hit zero shows last year was I had a couple weddings to participate in, walking Daughters #3 and #4 (twins) down the aisle in separate weddings 3 weeks apart, one in July and the other in early August, and at opposite ends of the state. So I had to get my 2010 DC fix from the DVDs in December.

And in the useless trivia category, I am also a Finneytown resident. Real close by.

Again, welcome - this is a great place to hang out online for DC geeks like us.

Finneytown??

You are a hop, skip and a jump away from our "corps home": Gailey VFW Post in Colerain Township. Small world!
