bringTheLoud
So Phantom Regiment lists their 2010 selections as being from New Moon in the Old Moon's Arms by Michael Kamen. However I stumbled across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or-COMb5z-s So did Kamen use New Moon in the Old Moon's Arms in his Band of Brothers score? Or what? Just want some clarification. Lance
kamen didn't exactly have range as a composer. everything he wrote sounded pretty much like his robin hood score or his band of brothers score.

It sounds more quoted than just similar. Like even the counter melodies are exactly what phantom plays.

Michael Boo
kamen didn't exactly have range as a composer. everything he wrote sounded pretty much like his robin hood score or his band of brothers score. So did composers like J.S. Bach. Movie executives likely hired Kamen for movie scores because he "sounded like Kamen." If he gave them something original and unique, it may have defeated the reason they hired him. But then, how many movies out there are recycled versions of movies already done? Michael Boo
yeah, i generally think of kamen and bach together. Lance: On my way home from Bill Cook's wake, I listened to Wendy Carlos' "Bach 2000" CD. Somehow, I don't think we'll be getting "Switched on Kamen" anytime soon. But mentioning them in the same breath does add to the shock value.
