DITD
Cool topic someone had mentioned in another thread. Said it "could be the greatest top 4 battle in Dci history." And of course you'd have to accept certain components of the assertion: Mainly that Cavies, CC, CBC, and BD are truly in contention with each other. What are some other years in Dci history where there have been more than 2 corps clustered at the top? I remembered being at the Atlanta regional in 2007 and thinking that several corps were close, but not necessarily for just 1st place either. This season's adjudication trend of "any given team on any given night" is at least giving us good conversational fodder!

YogiBear
2008 (at least at this point in the season) Not really. From what i remember, it was just BD on top and Cavaliers right behind them most of the season (with the exception of allentown ) Phantom didnt surge until finals week
Blackstar
1980-- Blue Devils--90.60 27th Lancers--90.25 Bridgemen--90.05 Spirit of Atlanta--89.80 I knew people were/are going to come up with other comparisons but nothing matches what happened in 1980. Truly any of those 4 could have won. If it wasn't for penalties there would have been a 3 way tie for second.
star27th
Look at semi-finals scores from 1987 - talk about a battle that could have gone anyway in finals. 6-11 separated by 1.3 6th - 90.3 - Star of Indiana 7th - 89.4 - Madison Scouts 8th - 89.2 - Velvet Knights 8th - 89.2 - Suncoast Sound 10th - 89.1 - Spirit of Atlanta 11th - 89.0 - Bluecoats
