kevingamin
First on the field is the Bushwackers from Princeton, New Jersey. Their 2011 program is entitled "A New Beginning" and consists of original compositions by Key Poulan and Paul Rennick.
kevingamin
Bush is going for it, lot of emotion in this performance. They're literally happy to be on the field tonight. Having no competition to worry about also makes it easier. They can just play for the fans and themselves.
kevingamin
Drum break. I mentioned this yesterday, but the percussion dominates this performance, if only because they're a majority of the corps, but they also really dig into this Paul Rennick book. kevingamin
Very nice brass sound for a small horn line! I think the members do see this as a new beginning for the corps.
NanciD
Where have I heard that name before? If it's who I think it is... He was a serious snare champion "Promark Charley" as I recall. Can someone please straighten me out on this one. Is it him? Promark Charley
kevingamin
Second piece, much more introspective than the opener. Low and middle brass getting their chance to shine.
kevingamin
Nice blended sound from the horns. They may be smaller than in years past, but they still have an Open Class attitude when it comes to performance.
kevingamin
Upper baris are really singing. They're playing in the upper register of their instrument with great tone quality and projection.
