3rd Glasgow BB
I wonder if PR will go all costume crazy with Turandot .... it is set in China. Not sure if they'll go costume crazy but it certainly gives them poetic licence to do something a little different visually... even if just the colour guard. Dan Balash
Mandarins: The Mandarins are pleased to announce our 2012 show "Prophecy" - an original program composed and designed by Key Poulan (Design Coordinator and Brass Arranger), Tony Nunez (Music Coordinator and Percussion Arranger), Geoff Longo (Visual and Color Guard Caption Manager), and Drew Farmer (Visual Coordinator and Drill Designer.) Program Facilitator Dr. Dan Fong is excited about the Mandarins' production. "We have an extremely talented group of top-notch designers all working to produce an innovative and entertaining program. Watch for some interesting new design concepts, computer generated silk patterns, and an engaging theme with a definite cool factor!" JimF-LowBari
The Blue Devils announced today their 2012 production "Occupy the Oil Can (or we're the 99.1%)" Music by Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Gil Scott Heron, Pete Seeger, Bob Marley and Rage Against the Machine. Not much known about the details at this point, but rumor has it that there will be use of props with a spectacular port-a-potty formation; some wonderful linen and tentage work from the guard, at least one mass sleeping bag drill, a clever use of barracades, a unison hand jesture to "the man" up in the box seats (and perhaps the dinos), at one point spelling out the word "Jump, you ####ers!" ....and a waft of something from the field particular to California. I, for one, am ready to help them stick it to the man! Ach e son, Ach e son, Ach e son!!!!! Wonder if Cadets still have the "Door" prop from a few years past for a Jiffy John. Shades of a friend who said all the "Door" was missing was a crescent moon on it. (Think he had to go at the time) Just PLEASE... no vocals on Dylan lyrics..... unless they don't sound like Dylan.. "Unce pon ah thyme" <start of Like a Rolling Stone>... Edited November 15, 2011 by JimF-LowBari

platesfan
as long as someone gets killed in the end, it should work out well for them This sort of goes to everyone. Is maimed close enough? Or do they have to really die? Like can they just like break their leg at the end or does it have to be a blade of some sort going through their chest?

Actually you read their mind......the closer ends with Donald Trump emerging from one of the Port-a-Potty's, waving a flag saying...."How does it feel?"
