As far as instrumentation, It seems that MOST groups have 3 Soprano/Trumpet parts, 1-2 Mello parts depending on group size, 3-4 Baritone/Euphonium parts, and a Contra/Tuba parts. I have seen charts with far more or less though.

Generally its desirable to have equal numbers between the trumpets and baris regardless of ens. size I think.

Empire Statesmen are marching:

18 sops

18 baritones

12 mellos

8 contras

(there are like maybe 3-4 euphs in the baritone section)

maybe 5/6 per part

Last season Renegades had

14 sops 7 mellos 1 French horn 13 baritones 6contras

And a Mellophone/French Horn/Trumpet/Assistant DM
