The problem was they couldn't find anyone who knew how to play the yimp.

I bet McPharlon & Palace would know.

Unless they were good Scandinavians; but then, they'd probably already have there own yimps. (Goes good with lutefisk.)

... Interesting that this equipment was "just" bought on feb 16...?

They don't make things the way they used to.

in before the close :)

Well, to help stave that off, what does this mean for drum corps? (Most of the clinicians listed were identified with their corps affiliations.)

Does this have any reflection on the activity, and if so, how much?

Will the success of any such enterprise reflect positively on our activity...and would the failure of same have a detrimental effect at all?

And even if it did, (either way), is that fair to the promoters of the enterprise or the activity as well?

I'd be interested to hear from any kids who may have signed up/showed up to any of these events. If they came thinking, "cool, this is affiliated with a bunch of corps people, it must be good," then they were let down... it couldn't be good for the image of DC as a whole.

I was willing to give Mr. Nagy another shot (get on danielray all you like, but sometimes people do change and learn from their mistakes). However, it just seems after the unprofessional facebook interactions and the now dead website, I was probably wrong to do so.

Why does a "camp" company need a huge sound system? I can't say that I've ever been to or seen a music camp where the instructor needs to use a huge sound system, or a timpani cart, or anything like that.

Typically, it's drums, wind instruments, mallet instruments and stands.
