You won't be disappointed :) Michael really went above and beyond with this year's brass book Edited May 1, 2012 by CrownBaritone
corpsband
Let's hope the "snippets" have some meat in them. No worries. I heard PETA has already had picket lines outside Crown rehearsals.

jjeffeory
Let's hope the "snippets" have some meat in them. They're not known for "snippets" like some other corps... The Rach star show wasn't nearly as bad as some corps for sure. I'm guess that Crown's arrangements will be very tasteful and that they'll give the music a pretty full treatment. They may have to water it down though. It sounds like difficult music!

Agree about Crown not playing "snippet" style arrangements. Just not their style.. No telling what will happen during the season but the stuff I've heard isn't watered much (if at all ??). It's...um....ambitious.

A little too ambitious for my fingers... ;) But, I guess that's what Smart Music and spring-training are for xD
euphman89
You won't be disappointed :) Michael really went above and beyond with this year's brass book Doesn't he always? Seriously, the man is a genius at arranging for four brass instruments. The intricacies and style of his writing are part of the reason Crown has won the Ott the past few years (along with the sheer talent of the brass line in Fort Mill, SC).
Corbin
It seems that many of the comments here are focusing on the brass. Brass, however, has not been a significant weakness for Crown. I believe we should be getting some honest feedback on the guard, percussion, and visual side of Crown as these have not been nearly upto the brass section. Can anyone, who is seeing or has seen these sections give us some feedback on the progress of these sections?
