There are a variety of things to do in and around the Lehigh Valley. It depends on what in particular you are looking for. Although there are many restaurants and motels in the area, I would recommend you book early as there are typically several major events going on during the DCI East weekend.

You may want to check out Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom.

Thanks....we made a booking at The Best western in Bethlehem 300 Gateway Drive

Bethlehem (Pennsylvania), PA 18017 No idea if this is a good location or how far away....also we grabbed a low price option but can cancel...if we found a super nice place at a fairly resonable price...maybe more fans there....a bed & breakfast or something...and less interested in amusment parks than natural beauty...parks...water falls..history ...culture I dunno Amish Territory?.....

You might want to check out Blue Rocks campground. It is down the interstate by only 15 minutes and is easy to get to stadium at the Dorney park exit. They have regulare tent and RV sites along with small cabins for rent. They have a nice out door pool and shower facilities, along with a general store at the main entrance. It is way cheaper then the rooms in Allentown. My family of three has stayed there four times now and never had any issues. Plenty of trees for shade, and a natural blue rock glacier deposit that you can hike to. Here is link for your viewing pleasure.

You should be fine there at the Best Western. Your not downtown in Bethlehem, however, the City itself is quite nice and has less crime than Allentown. The Sands Casino is on the south side in Bethlehem. You're probably a good hour from Amish Country, which would be Lancaster County. There are pockets of Amish in the Lehigh Valley, Reading etc., however, the food, farms and attractions for the Amish are in Lancaster County.

Enjoy your stay!
