Sorry, weather buffs

Recommended Posts

So sorry for the lack of show weather forecasts today. I was immersed in a day of volunteering with Phantom Regiment's clinic/rehearsal in Las Vegas. Their white board weather on the food truck called for, "HOT". They didn't want to put up the real high temperature forecast of 107.

It's a dry heat. The 100 degree weather here in the East felt much worse than that... I'm sure they worse lots of sun screen! thumbup.gif

Hey, I was in AZ last week in 110+ degree heat, but that beats the 100 degree heat here in south GA any day! The humidity is AWFUL!

I'm always reminded that "dry heat" is one of the reasons that mummies become mummies.

thumbup.gif Haha!

Let me tell ya,

One time I flew from New Orleans to Vegas. It was 92 and around 80% humidity in Louisiana when I left there and miserable... I got into Vegas and it was 105 with 5% humidity and it was much better feeling to me... So, these 100 degree days with 80% humidity we've been having out East SUCKS compared to 110 and low humidity in Vegas for sure!

Having lived in Phoenix, and now Vegas, plus touring experience in drum corps, I much prefer the weather in my hometown of Huntington Beach. Unfortunately, they've priced me right out of the state!

I was living in Garden Grove and it was a "bit" muggy to me at the time, but much better than Louisiana or D.C....

Gosh I miss living in SoCal AND Vegas! tongue.gif
